Did I receive the wrong spring? Weird Ground Control Part # for 450lb rear civic spring
According to ground-control-store.com, I received the wrong spring.
I asked for 400lb front and 450 rear.
The rears are 7 inches tall w/ 2.5 inch ID
The part number of the rears I received is 180.64.75
According to the website it should have been 0700.250.0450
The part number for my fronts is 0700.250.0400, which is right I think.
I tried to find the part number on the site that i received and had no luck.
Help me out here so I don't call these guys and look like and idiot. I'd rather do it anonymously over the internet.

The forum FAQ has a link for spring rate conversions in it.

I belive GC springs come in 2 different ways of part numbers. So you may have gotten the right springs.

Looks like the #s are just in metric.
180mm ~= 7 in
64 mm = 2.5 in
75 N/mm ~= 428 lb/in

Funny that they are using N/mm. I thought I was the only one that had to deal with converting the numbers being that I am using German stuff!

Heh. Yeah, we both suck at your homework, but Alisha's a badass. She actually misses school. Can you believe that ****? You'd have to pay me well into the six figures for me to even consider going back to school. I couldn't wait to get out of that hell. I do miss the college lifestyle though.

Thank you for the correction!

That's quite amusing because I was in the same situation and received the same springs. Last summer, I called up to order 450 front, 400 rear, and Jay recommended I try their barrel spring option for the front at 440lb. I gave it a try and only recently found out (last month) that the spring rate was a little bit softer than I originally specified. Car drives fine, so I have no need to complain.
I wish GC had a better website that covered their product line more accurately. The 180.64.75 isn’t even shown nor is a listing of other GC specific springs.

Thanks for all the post guys.... I think I'll give them a shot. I'm just going off here-say as far as a "good track spring rate".
Just had to ask because GC doesn't list the spring on their site like the post above mentions.
THANKS!

GC uses Eibach springs, so those are eibach numbers, not GC numbers. I have never seen a metric eibach though.

Kinda. As I understand it, these barrel springs with the metric specs are made exclusively for Ground Control. At least, that's what I was told by one of the GC reps.

Wrong. GC uses our ERS springs and we make custom springs to GC's specs as well. The custom springs have a metric part number (ex: GC180.64.44).
