What size oil coolers are you guys running?

These are what I run. Big for turbo, small for NA.

At 102* outside the oil cooler dropped water temp from 205 to 195 on the ITR motor. That was with a large aluminum racing radiator.

I have never road raced a Honda with more than 205WHP, however I race them for 25+ hours at a time.

I won the 14 hours of Gingerman last year with the turbo-D above.

Run a full dual core or larger radiator
Duct the radiator
Run a huge oil cooler
Vent the hood (see picture of turbo-D hood).

So, what times did you run at Gingerman? I have the short and long course track records for Chumpcar and am racing the World Racing League event August 29th.

Thats some awesome stuff right there.

Saturdays time attack I ran about 2:03...slow. ***** slow. Haha. Got 2nd to last place overall lol. But it was on street tires. Next year, I'm comin to set a real time. 1:4x I hope. I only got 1x 3/4 warm up lap, and 1 timed lap. S2K hit the wall on corner 11 and shortened our slot that day.

I may run higher boost next time, but honestly I was hanging with K swaps and S2Ks easy with low boost. After driving my buddys 400hp EK in a semi straight line, don't know how 500hp is lappable. None the less, if you can, erm no pun intended, more power to you!

I ran 01:49.294 on the long course with street tires and the D16-T running around 170whp. 7PSI on a 14B from a DSM with the DSM side mount.

On the short track, I set the record in 2013 with a stock B18B and could not beat that with the Turbo-D, that was a 1:38.2 I IIRC.

Another 14B, that's cool. It worked well on the D16, gave it a nice boost in power without any lag or compromise in reliability. It really helped the low end tq, it pulled well starting at about 4500 RPM.

That 11:1 sounds pretty wild with a turbo, must be a real efficient setup though. I would be very afraid of detonation.....

Tuned up to ~11psi. Hauls *** in traffic, lots of low end tq, heck ya. It spools around 3200 on mine. Ramhorn mani. I rebuilt the turbo last year, fresh. I run coolant lines, unlike some. Honestly, I get 40+mpg highway, yes to efficient. LS 5th, Y21 trans.

Cast pistons. Forged rods, cause I like to downshift...heal-toe pro lol.

Water/meth is my anti detonation strategy. It runs 11.5afr over 3psi. 12.5afr without w/m spraying, if it fails or ran dry on me.

14b is a great turbo.

Oil cooler may be next though. Can you elaborate on small for turbo, big for NA?
