P.S. About racing with guys in other classes...we need more guys like you in SCCA.
With my low H.P. car guys are always blocking me in the corner, even when getting lapped, they make you earn your pass. My favorite quote which I have to tell guys often

I am not sure your point, its your buddy who wants to race? Does he want to be an underdog or something, is that the appeal of ITE, to say I beat this "fast" V8 car with a small car?
Anyway, you racing stories are common I believe, where there is always someone in a slow car beating up on a percieved fast car, especially in regional racing. I really wouldn't take that too seriously.
