I dont see any reason why you couldnt.
Just go out and start doing some HPDE's and get some seat time.
Then decide if you want to really race it.

But going out and having fun is the important part.

This is ridiculous. We need SOME kind of detail to go on. Do you mean a 100% stock 200K mile car? If so, then it will probably need at least a little maintenance to not explode on you.

I race mine. Change the oil, check your compression, make sure your brakes, wheel bearings, and ball joints are all in good shape, and get to a HPDE.

my current hatch chassis has almost 200k on it (i think, maybe). and the last one had silly miles on it.
if you have all the safty equipment and proper license, sure you can race it.
what i think your asking is can u drive it on a track in a hpde-type situation. the answer is HELL YEA. with the single and all.

I'm thinking its probably the best thing to start tracking in... TONS of room to grow with it, but no love lost if you end up blowing/wadding it up!

Plus it forces you to drive correctly. Back when I raced a fast car I could be all kinds of sloppy and still turn fast times and win events. Now that I race a crapbox I have to be smooth and conserve momentum in order to be fast. My driving has improved tremendously since I switched.

That civic would be as good as any! H2 Honda Challenge champ car was a 4 door civic.

My civic has well over 200k buy has pretty much new everything.
