Anyone competing at Carlisle May 3-4?
Our region is helping National SCCA Office run the event this year. Supposedly PD Cunningham and his RTR squad and Will Turner of Turner Motorsports will be the main gurus there.
They are having the SCCA classes of STS, STX and Super Street Modified (whatever class that is).
I signed up and hopefully will take home some prizes

Mostly except the instructors will be out at different corners writing down, exit speed, braking distance, etc... and then hand you the paper to work on those things.
We're using SCCA rules but the only classes I hear are available are: STS. STX, and Street Modified.

Oh, well i'm sorry.......
I forgot that street "lowering" springs, KYB GR2 struts (which are just OE replacements anyways) and rear disc brakes (which really dont help you at all) are serious performance enhancing modifications!

Don't be like that. Why does everyone in the Competition forum have to be so arrogant and mean? Just be happy someone is going to compete instead of trying to deter people away from legal racing.

I wasnt being mean. I had a nearly identical setup on my old saturn and it was a great car on the street but its performance for autocross was seriously lacking - as was my driving ability at the time.

Yep, we'll see! Events like this are determined more by the driver anyways.

Re: Anyone competing at Carlisle May 3-4? (CivicSiRacer)
I am thinking that probe would have to be in a Mod catagory due to the test pipe. STX and STS and SM are all STREET catagories and therefore must be Street Legal. Test pipes are not Street Legal on any car made after 1969. I could be wrong though.
