AMC LSD- ever heard of it or use it on a track car?
The company is called "American Motorsports Company"
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
I couldn't find a website. They offer a lifetime warranty, but the caveat is:
Lifetime warranty on auto cross and street racing. Could be a mistake, but note that it says "street racing," not road racing.
And then they have this sentence: "EXTREAM TIGHT CORNERING FOR CIRCUIT RACIN"
It is the same as another advertisement for OBX, except it's misspelled.

Man, that's a TON of money for a poorly advertised helical diff. You can buy better, proven LSDs for that price or less. Certain things I can't help but turn my nose up at in ads, like poor spelling "EXTREAM STREET RACIN", really don't inspire me to put much faith in the company. If you're going to take my money, the very least you could do is hit the goddamn spellcheck button. They're also referred to as "L.S.D. Differentials." Limited slip differential differentials? Right.

I assume you have to type in your VIN number to figure out if it will fit your specific car. When you find the one you need, you just go down to the ATM machine and use your PIN number to get the money out.

It says Quaife in his profile. In any case, the seller doesn't seem to have much selling history with ebay, so I would be wary no matter what.

It actually says Not Quaife. That's how I found it, I searched for Quaife.
I didn't think it was a promising product anyway, possibly even a reboxed OBX. But I thought I would ask here anyway b/c if it was any good, someone on the RR forum would probably know about it.

i moved that browser over, and pulled up another with a picture of an obx lsd auction, and from the pics, they look identical..even same steps in the machine work (from the pics at least), and same location of hole, same everything (from what i can tell).. looks like somebody is just trying to get more $ for an obx. i'm sure it would work fine.. as the newest obx's seem tobe decently proven, but there are other auctions for (probably) the same thing, for 3-4 hundo..eek
