5th gen accord wheels size 16" or 17"
I was thinking about going down to 16"s wheels, and i guess my question
is, on a 94-97 accord is there a tire/wheel combo in 16" that would be better
for all around performance VS a 17" set up? i know accelaraiton is going to be better, but can someone give me a bit of info? i always thought 16" were to small
but i dont know?

There are a lot lot more tire choices in 17" although that might not matter to you if you find exactly what you are after in 16". Street/DE sounds like a job for the Azenis. I'm going to assume you are running 7" wheels? The new 16" azenis are available only in 205mm x 40% me thinks. You can get 215 or 235mm in 17's.

mos is right, and good 16" tires are getting harder to find.
15's are fine, if you get the right tire in that size. I don't think you've got a brake clearance issue so 225/50/15 azenis/BFG TA KD's/or other good tires + 15x7/7.5/8 will prob do you right. it's much cheaper buying rubber in 15" sizes too.
but if you're set on 16 or 17 i'd say stick with the 17.

just the fact of running 15's alone doesn't mean you will have sloppy handling..what kind and size of tires did you have when you ran them and how wide were the rims?
throw on a set of 205/50/15 on 15x7 rims and see if they feel sloppy
new azenis are coming out in 225/50/15 as stated earlier so you should look into those

I've got a 295 WHP Integra that does just fine on 205-50 R15's.
I've heard *ahem* that 16" tires are hard to come by, at least for Integras. Your tires are taller, and Tire Rack lists a chitload of 205/55 R16's, and even more 225/50R16's (just looking at Max Performance and Competition).
You can tighten up the 'feel' of a car with 17's, and maybe that's what you want, but the ligher (prolly 16") combo will likely be faster, and stiffer sidewalls on good tires will also negate some of the advantage of a really low profile tire.
Now GTFO
