MOVE TO SUSPENSION: "ITR" 4x100 brakes & 14x7 wheels.. Anyone running them?
Can a mod move this to suspension? Thanks & sorry. I searched thoroughly but found no conclusive answers, and there seems to be a higher percentage of knowledgeable guys here than in the 92-00 forum. I'm installing DC2 ITR calipers (17CL15VN's, same as 'Lude, Accord etc) and redrilled Prelude 11.1" rotors on my '93 Civic EX and know I can fit this setup under my current 15x7 Rota Slipstreams.
I just want the car to appear 100% stock, riding on 14"s & OEM wheel covers. My favorite wheels so far are 14x7" Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 or 1.2's (As seen on this dude's car \/ \/ )
I am pretty sure various RAYS, Spoon, Mugen, Racing Hart & Enkei 14" wheels will clear the ITR caliper/11.1" rotor but all are too expensive. So, anybody running "big" brakes under 14"s here? What wheel are you using. I'm sure I'm not the only guy who wants to know! Thanks, Al.

WAG - I don't think it's gonna fit boss.
If it's an 11+ inch rotor, assume you are going to need at least 12 1/2 inches to clear the caliper. If you have a 14 inch wheel, the inner diameter of the wheel is going to be......

/\ /\ You're saying I'll need at least 12.5" of clearance for this rotor/caliper combo? I'm almost positive some Honda-Tech guy fit 11.1" Prelude/ITR size brakes under 14"s, but like you said its gonna be VERY tight.
A while ago someone here said he cleared ITR/Lude/Accord brakes with Volk TE-37s or CE28Ns as well as some old school 14" Racing Harts...
I guess the only way I'll really know is to buy as set of TD Pro Race 1.2s and give 'em a try!

I have the Fastbrakes 11" rotors with ITR calipers up front. My car just happens to be on jackstands right now and I just happen to have some 14" OEM steelies. I just went out there to try them on. They do not fit over the calipers. In the rear, I have their 11" rotors and the relocation kit that utilizes the factory calipers. They don't even fit over those tiny rear calipers without rubbing.
Team Dynamics 14" wheels might fit better, but I still doubt they'll fit over the front. I have the 15" Pro Race 1s and those will clear some pretty big brakes. Why don't you get the 15" ones? They'll give you more tire options than 14" will.

ThoseDarnKids - Thanks for checking out 14" steelie fitment, & very nice EH3 you have sir.
roastbeefrichie; Interestingly, BrakeExpert is the guy who milled my caliper brackets & redrilled my rotors. He didn't know of any cheap 14"s off hand that would clear the 11" ITR setup, but knew quite a few 15"s.
I'm running 15x7" Slipstreams that clear.. I just want the car to appear as stock as possible to deter thieves, cops & street racers as this is my DD. I could run a 01-05 Civic 15" wheel covers over the Rotas, but I can tell they aren't OE and would much rather have my OE 14" wheel covers masking lightweight wheels, serious brakes and a pricey suspension...
As far as tire selection, Im comfortable riding sticky, low treadwear tires year-round since they are pretty cheap in 195 and 205/xx/14" (Azenis, Kuhmo, Bridgestone, Sumitomo, Yokos etc.)

14 inch will clear the ITR CALIPER/PRELUDE/accord/itr/legend rotor!!
they must be 14x7 or 14x6.5 volk ce28n's.....i have posted pictures before of this exact setup!!

The 01-05 civic steelies fit fine over the 11.1" setup.... I used to run them on my car with 195/50/15s when i used to deliver pizza in it. 205/45/16 t1-s's were getting expensive! And I personally think that the 01 EX hubcaps looked really good and low-key at the same time on the car... I used to call them my "sneakers."
btw, sorry for the mini-threadjack... Thosedarnkids, do you have any pics of your brake duct setup? I'm really curious to see how you did it!

Thanks chad, you were the guy I was referring to. And thanks spAdam. So, we have one definite 14" wheel that clears 11.1" brakes, Volk CE28Ns. And one dirt cheap OEM 15" wheel as well, 01-05 Civic steelies.
I can't afford to right now, but I will buy a set of 14x7 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's and give them a shot. It would be great if they worked since they're less than half of what a set of Volks cost.
If anyone out there is ballin' and is running the 4x100 front ITR brakes, please go out and buy a one 14x7 TD Pro Race 1.2 wheel for the sake of Honda-Tech R&D.
Really though, if it works it would be the most powerful, cheap OEM brake setup you could fit under OEM 14" wheel covers... Where I live, having a nice, modded Honda parked on the street overnight (no garage) can mean any given morning, you wake up and you have to take the bus to work.. F#@K THIEVES! /Rant.

Are you sure? I thought I read on here that they were designed to clear 10.3" brakes since they are more common? Or was that the original Pro Race 1's?
I'll try it anyways, I just wanted pic evidence for all to see or to try it myself when I can afford it. Thanks though.

Re: (Import Al)
Pro Race 1.2s actually have a little less caliper clearance then Pro Race 1s... The difference is that they decreased outward curvature of the spokes on the 1.2s to help avoid wheel to wheel contact in racing situations. So if they didn't fit the 1s they definitely won't fit the 1.2s... and I might be wrong, but seeing how tight the 11.1s are under a 15" wheel, i can't really imagine there would be room under any 14".
That would be sweet though, I would love to run a 14" slick at the dragstrip!
