HVLP and Rustoleum

HVLP and Rustoleum
i want to spray my 4wheeler wheels to kinda get used to this HVLP i bought.. what ratio of rustoleum to acetone would work,or can i shoot it straight out of the can?

you could shoot it straight unreduced if you had a large tip on the gun, at least 1.4, ideally 1.8. it'd be the same thickness as shooting a primer. if i were you though, i would probably start by figuring out what size tip is on your gun and go from there. it would need to be reduced accordingly.
for a 1.4 tip i would start by mixing 4:1 (rustoleum:acetone). spray a little on a test panel. if there's any hesitation or if it seems globby, reduce a little more. the base that i spray at work is reduced 1:1 and ends up being about the consistancy of water. i spray most bases with a 1.3 tip.. so think ofthat as a reference.
