Well I just got my new EM1 yesterday! Catch is, it has some front damage. How much do you think I'm gonna be spending to get this bad boy lined back up? Here are a few pics:

Thanks guys, really excited about the car drives like a beauty, definite upgrade over my old automatic EJ1.

well its obvious you need a new hood and bumper, fender looks like just throw some filler on the dent. you need to get the bumper off and see whats bent behind it, check for broken tabs and make sure the fenders arent bent up.
its hard to tell what might be needed until you tear the car down and find why everything doesnt match

No damage at all to the fender, they seem pretty solid and smooth, not pushed back. I think just the front core support is pushed down and then the hood is smashed, I need to take it off and look and take pics and will report back. I'll let you guys know, thanks!

Alright took the bumper off today. It seems as if the passenger side is pushed down and back, and a lot of the metal is bent and out of shape. Here are some pictures of the damage, maybe someone can assess - I'm thinking that for starters I could tie it up to a tree and push the bumper back out.

Here are better pictures, if anyone has any input let me know. I just put em all in a photobucket album so they can be more easily linked.

Thanks

That damage looks similar to what I'm dealing with on my '92 hatch. Mine isn't as bad, but the fender won't line up with the headlight, and the gap between the hood and fender is off.

The car will have to go on a frame machine and be pulled straight. Maaco told me about $200 for mine. Take you car in with the front end stripped down, so they won't charge you for it. They will take measurements and compare them to factory specs. Most shops charge a flat fee for measuring and pulling, then extra for any additional pulls.

not alot bro, if you can find them aftermarket cheap price plus install yourself and go get it painted with someone you know then it will be less than 1 grand. i have alot worser hit front end damage and what im getting charged is 950 cash for paint labor and frame work. I bring the parts so i'm close to $1500 on a 4 grand job.

wow I didnt see the link pics, but as you can see it is a expensive job, if your lucky enough make sure your frame is not damaged cus the pics dont really explain alot till someone looks at it in person. frame suppose to be hardest part of the body which mine got bent down and pushed in. cost me 400 just to align and fix that with fame machine work.

just looks like you have a bent up radiator support. There pretty cheap and not that hard to replace if you have the proper tools. The rest of the parts are readily available aftermarket and are cheap.

did you unhook the coolant over flow or is that how it was when you got it? if you didnt unhook it your gonna wanna swap the rad support out. which is easy if you have a welder and a nice spot weld bit. then a hood and i cant tell if the bumper cant be saved. but they arent that bad and you could prolly get on at a junk yard for like 20 bucks.

that's a bad crash. core support def. has to be replaced along with your hood.

Yah, I might just see if I can find a whole new core support, or get this one pulled out and everything done at the body shop. We'll see, in the process of getting the hood atm.

Thought I'd post up an update since I got some great help/advice! After taking off the bumper and looking at the damage, I saw that the bumper support was pushed back and up on the right (car) side. This also caused the rad support to get pushed back and up, and down on the left (car) side. After making a trip to the local U-Pull for a bumper support, and some handy work with an mallet, some wood, and tugs, pushes, and pulls here and there I got some good progress. I'm still gonna be replacing the hood/headlights/bumper, and I'm getting the rad support/frame pulled at a body shop, but for now it's a huge improvement already until I muster the $$ for the full job.

Here's a before and after:

Thanks for stopping by
