filling my license plate holes, body filler for plastic?
Is there a body filler that I can use on my plastic bumper? I've already grinded down the holes. I still need to epoxy some plastic in the back to fill up the holes and then I need to finish it off with some sort of filler right? Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

What I ahve learned is that fiberglass works a bit better with plastic if you really scuff it up to stick to it. There is also a plastic resign kit somewhat like that person posted but there are better ones. Using body filler will work, but only in tiny cosmetic areas on plastic. http://www.spraypaintcar.com/bondo-b...er-basics.html

BODY FILLER WILL not stick certain types of plastics and IT WILL CRACK.
I don't recommend using the type of plastic repair material listed above because
there is no repair material that will stick to every type of plastic.
3M has a plastic repair material for just about every type of plastic and it will stick and its flexible.aka will not crack.
Evercoat does have some type of plastic polyester type filler that will bond to certain types of plastic and is flexible.Its was made for small scratches and chips and things in plastic bumper covers.However it was not made for large/two sided repairs.

It will be capital letters.
EX.PP,PPE,TPO,TJO.TEO,PS,PO,ABS,PUR.ETC......
Your bumper cover will most likely PP or PPE or TPO
PP= polypropylene
PPE= polypropylene ethylene
TPO= thermal poly-olefin

There are different repair materials for different types of plastics.
If you have to do a two sided repair you need a repair material for the back side and a different material for the front.

Wheels2... u make no sense.
first u say you dont recommend evercoat's product because NO repair material will stick to every plastic.
then you say 3m's repair product will stick to just about all plastics. lolllll
CUBBYCHOWDER: whether you use 3m's product or evercoat's product... they are both basically the same. and with evercoat product, they claim you dont need to worry about what type of plastic you're using it for. just follow either manufacture's user recommendations and you should be fine with either.

Yes evercoats product claims that,however if that were true there would be a lot more body shops using that than the 3M material.I would like to see evercoats product try to stick to every type of plastic there is and i guarantee that there will be at least 50 or more different types of plastic it wont stick to,because ONE PRODUCT CAN NOT DO EVERYTHING.I have tried different types of plastic repair systems and the 3M system is the one so far that has worked and has stuck to the plastic for years.BTW I don't recall saying I said 3m has different types of plastic repair material for different types of plastic.

That's just like a company saying they have a primer that is a self etching,primer surfacer,and a sealer all in one it just doesn't happen,because the product is trying to do to many thing.For ex:a company says they have a primer that will do everything.Well we already know that primer sealer doesn't build high or contain a lot of talc, witch means its not going to sand well or build high,well because if you want a primer that sands well and builds high you need a primer surfacer.But even if you take a primer surfacer and reduce it,you still have a lot more talc in it than you would primer sealer.
Not trying to bash on evercoat they make a lot of great products,however their plastic repair system I don't like for the reason I said.
Not saying i know everything,just saying one product can not do everything,but until I'm proved wrong i will stick with what i know.
