HAHA oem paint is not 50 dollars a gallon....
depending on what brand you buy and where you buy it from the price will vary. Go and get a quote from a paint supply store.
Depending on weather you are priming the whole car or just spots that will also vary.
a eg is pretty small.
exterior - 7 - 12 oz for two coats base
jams - 4 - 8 oz two coats
bay - 4 - 8 oz for two coats
keep in mind this is just a estimate of material for just Base coat
say its already primed. go 2 coats base, 2-3 coats clear. also when you spray clear it tends to go crazy overspray and it seems to use more material for the same amount of work. if you are really into trying to save material cost down spray the clear at a lower pressure. you may get more orange peel in turn but it happens.
you WILL get a different price from everyone. opinions vary, if you want cheaper paint go with a tcpglobal restoration line or omni if you want something better go with ppg, sikkens.

haha don't trust paint that is 50 dollars. you may as well go use rustolem on the car for that price haha. if you want real paint go to a paint distributor and get a real brand. they sell it by the pint. you will regret using cheap paint, even if you do a amazing prep job.
