Re: (wekillyou)
I'd polish the lips, they'll look a lot better.
Nothing wrong with Merc wheels on Audi's. Yours will look great with a few minor details sorted

Not a good pic because the monoblock reps are 18" on the car, but I've seen 19" monoblock wheels on a slammed black B7 A4 and it looked pretty good. still not right since you know they're benz wheels, but still pretty cool.

Yes sir, thank you. I kind of put this on the back burner until I sell my evo.

I keep hearing that certain wheel combos will f up the Quattro on the Audi's. Any idea if these rides have experienced that? Or how they avoided it?

Quattro setups usually require you to use same offset from front to rear. Some say it doesn't affect it, but it depends on the Quattro transmission. As though the new RS4 and S5 have a rear biased Quattro system allowing you to stagger the setup. But its recommended you not to on the earlier models that dont have the rear baised transmission.
I never staggered.

So, take for instance the pic above running 19x8 and 19x9, will that small difference in width mess with it? I'm thinking about doing this on an 04, which I think is the same as pictured above.

Re: (SiRidiculous)
Not recommended but it would mess with it. It causes friction of some sort on the drivetrain when you take turns too hard or something, I read up on it when I was purchasing new rims. They recommended keeping the same width, but said that the offsets can be shifted to a certain degree.
Then I talked to an Audi technician and he said that if you did keep the same width but played with an offset on lets say an 04 (which is the year of my S4) that the stress on the drive train over a lengthly period of time would cause the gearings to go bad. = replace tranny. For an S4 just the tranny was about $6500.
Which is why I never staggered. Romping around the Audi forums, I see alot of people stagger just to get the appeal of having a dished rear lip. But alot of them get rid of their wheels within a year or so. Im still all for same width, same offset all around on Quattro.
Now people ask, Some Porsches are AWD and have a staggered from factory setup. Which goes to how the tranny is biased. RW biased vs FW biased. Unfortunately, the 05's and earlier Audi Quattro's are FW biased (to my knowledge) as compared to the RS4, S4, S5, S6, S8's which are 60/40 split rear wheel biased like the Porsches. R32's are FW biased also, I believe with the new DSG model R32's they are RW biased.
