Sure, but after stepping outside the Honda box for the last few years now, and looking at the owners from an outsiders view, it's VERY easy to see why you guys are treated the way you are as a whole.

I think "better" is pretty subjective. Like how exactly is a problematic German econobox "better" than a less problematic Japanese econobox?

I don't drive a Honda anymore but I do get annoyed by the mentality that somehow a VW is like a Merc or a Porsche or a BMW just because they were all engineered by Germans. A VW is in the same class as a Honda, Mazda or a Subaru.

Dude...I have a d16 in my honda. I think its just a slow little eco car. Some kid in a 1.8t jetta pulls up and wants to race, we go to a nice street and I at least got 4 lengths on him while I was getting better gas milage.


I like the r32 and some GTIs but the rest of the vdub classes Im not into.

thing is everyone starts with a honda when your kids in the import life. Than you grow up and relize how much of a peace it really is. Hondas


Everything has been done to a honda. back in 99 when a i/h/e on a SI man you owned the streets... nowa days every honda comes with a b16 or k whatever they wanna call it. nothing new .. no class.. but thats just little old me saying it.

Imo the interior quality in a Jetta (leather especially) is 500 steps ahead of Civic.

Also the way they drive from the factory feels soo much smoother. Just my .02 though. People wanting fast cars, shouldn't be buying Honda's or VW's though.

well considering civics only offered leather in 08 that might be true, but if you want reliability i'll take a honda any day...im not anti vw i just think hondas are better and i am entitled to my opinion.
