My new american DD
Just got this 1995 Z28 for 2500$. Chassis has 108,000k on it but the motor was rebuilt by the dealer 800 miles ago and also new tires, brakes, fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition, and rack and pinion. Also have all the paperwork for everything included the window stickers and gas reciepts since it was bought brand new in 1995 for 25,000$

Not too bad at all.
Im not a huge fan of purple and it would be alot cooler if it were a 6spd manual, but for $2500 you cant really complain.
I have a friend with a '94 that Im constantly giving **** for driving a camaro. But with gears, headers, exhaust, and nitrous its actually a pretty fast car. I secretly kind of like it................................................ ..............but dont tell him that. lol

Nice pick man. Should have gone with a third gen instead though. Haha, just playing, I'm just being biased. You can push out quite a bit of horses from those LT1s. Just remember, if you start modding it, you're never going to want to stop. I'm currently pushing a little more than 400hp from my 87 Bird and it's still not enough for me.
Edit: Ahhh, I see t-tops. T-tops are ****ing awesome!

Re: My new american DD
wow I expected to get so much **** for posting up a stock purple camaro. Thank you for all the comments and yep my old 88 was a t-top car so I had to have it again haha. As for the power I know my 88 got a little out of hand and was running mid 700 horse at the wheels when I sold it. I think I'm going to wait until next spring to get most of my plans done on it, but next week I'll probably get antsy and do something haha
Also the insurance isn't that bad it's cheaper on this than my 4 cylinder ford ranger was because of the safety ratings the camaro has.

Yeah, insurance isn't too bad on these cars. I think I only pay $160 every six months for full coverage on the Bird. My 89 Mazda B2200 was more than that.
I love these cars man. There's so many easy things you can do to get more power and torque. And the basement torque on these cars is just insane. I think my next step is going to be a pro charger, but haven't decided yet.

Re: My new american DD
Throw on some black ZR1s and paint the rear panal black....
315s in the rear look awsome
Full exhaust,1.6 rocker arms with a stall and a gear with a proper tune will put you into the low 12s
If you hook up

Re: My new american DD
damn reading my mind haha. I just bought a new rear panel today to fill the letters and get it painted black. Also bought 3.73 gears about an hour ago from yukon gear. I have a 3 inch exhaust already but I'm dying to get a nice set of headers on the car. Also for the 1.6 rockers do I have to get new pushrods too? Probably a dumb question just wondering because if I stay up late tonight those might be ordered too

Re: My new american DD
just put about an hour and a half of time into cleaning the bay. Looks better but definitely will need more cleaning time soon.

Re: My new american DD
You'll need a lot of gear and a pretty high stall to get 12s w/ just an exhuast and a tune on a LT1.
Also, 315s are overkill for such a mild setup (they do look great, though). 275s will get you plenty of traction and have less rotational mass.

Re: My new american DD
alright I had 2 people now say I don't need new pushrods with the 1.6 rockers but that doesn't make sense to me that I can just switch the rockers up .1 without getting new pushrods. Could someone verify this for me please? Also got her washed up today so I might sneak out to get some pics of her tonight if I don't fall asleep right away.
