'27 Ford Roadster
My father-in-law let me take his '27 Ford roadster out for a spin last Sunday, so I grabbed my cammera bag on the way out...
Don't know all the details, but it's sporting a basic 350 crate motor.

That thing looks like it would be a blast to cruise around in on the weekend.
Wonder how much it would cost to build something like that? Probably takes more fabrication skill than money, I would imagine. Unless, of course, you have no such skills, in which case I imagine it would cost a lot of money.

He had someone do the seats and side/door panels and a friend of his sprayed the base and clear, otherwise he did everything... I think he figures about $20k in it.

It drives okay... there's a little slop in the steering and the auto tranny is kinda clunky.
But, it doesn't weigh much so it's pretty quick. It's a lot of fun to drive.

Funny, I live in Portland now, but as soon as I saw the first picture, I knew exactly where that was.
A few nice little roads around there. Esp. the dirt road.
Ever go to the go kart track up the street, Primus?

Re: '27 Ford Roadster
Thanks
Sorry, didn't see your post right away.
I don't know Primus... the only cart track I know is in the Riverview area. forget the name, but it isn't Primus.
Yeah, there are some fun roads in that area, but I try not to go too fast on 'em.
My father-in-law is a cyclist and he and the guys he rides with ride these roads a lot.
I like to ride also, so I just like too be a responsible driver for the riders.
Kinda sucks though... it was way more fun before I got into biking 'cause I didn't care.

Thanks for the comments guys.
The cutouts aren't electric... here's a side shot, followed by a closeup of the motor.
