Default First Gen CRV: KSPORT COILOVER INSTALL (LOTS OF PICS)

Impressions:

First off: MANY MANY thanks to JLBMotorsports for selling these.
Delivery time was super fast (4 days) price was great as well!

I honestly expected it to ride like...well...umm..****...
I kept thinking "lowrider" in my head. I couldn't have been further off!
The coilover ride incredibly! No bouncing, no harshness through the steering wheel.

I've put 100+ miles on them so far, over the worst Phoenix streets I could find.
(Potholes, train tracks, you name it) and they handle incredibly!

I'm very happy with them, no horrible camber problems either.
The coilovers are 36 way adjustable, and come set in the middle of that range out of the box.
Mine are 6 clicks softer than the OEM setting...I think it's perfect for a family/daily driven vehicle.

I even tested them out with passengers (wife, kids, dogs) and no bottoming out, no bouncing/rebounding over bumps, etc....

These are set on the very lowest setting btw (for those that care)

The install went perfectly, like putting in a set of new OEM shocks...no fitment issues at all - very well made product!

I'm VERY happy to say the least.
Please, instead of spending your money on shitty Skunk2's, give these a shot.
I'd hate to see these not sell and go the way of the dodo bird (like almost all other performance parts for the CRV)

Looking good, I have had my Ksports sitting in a box for 10 months. I haven't had time to mess with the V, but I will be throwing those on and some 18 inch work emotion xd-9s this week.

You said that this is all the way down on the coilovers? Meaning it won't go any lower than that? Any problems with axle or driveshaft binding?

They'll go lower, mine are as low as they go without pre-loading the spring.
I drove over 100 miles today on them after the install, no binding driveshaft.

Looks nice, I will have to convince the wife so I can buy a set for her CRV.

What is the price range on those coilovers?

FYI, with any double adjustable coilover, if you're maxing out the drop, you can get rid of the 2 extra collar rings.
this will give you another 1/2 drop.

Oh, man that's awesome, thanks for posting the review

These are on my list for sure. I'm also surprised there are no camber issues going that far down

When you say no major camber issues, do you have camber kits on, or did you just drop it and roll. I'm looking to get a set of these this summer and want to know if I'll need the camber kits right away.

I put mine on last Tuesday, and did not pre-load the spring, so my drop is the same as yours. My camber was way out on the rear, and was way out on the passenger side front. -2.8 or so on the rear, and the passenger side front was -3.6. Also, the toe was way off, but that was no surprise. I already had front and rear camber kits off my 99 civic, and since they were the same part #, I just slapped those on, so we could get the alignment right. For anyone doing this, I would be very surprised if your camber is not way out of spec, so I would add camber kits to your budget, but you can use the ones off of the 96-00 civic, so there are many good deals on here for used ones.

/\/\ That's what I would have thought... With that much a of a change in ride height how in the world could the camber not be affected, haha.

I want a set of these coilovers

I guess looks OK if you live in west coast. You probably get strange look out east since it is like broken shocks on an SUV.

When you had the coilovers at stock height did they have much room to lift it?
