Anyone ever rented Shelly's dyno? I plan on dyno tuning my car. Just need the dyno, I will be tuning my own car on Neptune.
i believe they hate on imports there and that there is a better dyno with more friendly staff on francis but can't remember the name...

is your car just bolt ons? might be better to just street tune and save your money for cams, or forced induction

Nope, not bolt-ons. My car is already street tuned by me. I want to tune my ignition. I asked my brother in law. He tuned his Boosted Sohc Vitara there before. So ill give them a call.

my friend has the white integra on red gt3 with a built ls/vtec, should try and buy his bottom end, wiseco 12.5:1, h beams, acl bearings, and balanced and blueprinted to 10k rpm, make good use of those bc3+ cams, rmf rep is a solid header

I'm fine with my block. I don't need 12.5 for a daily driver. If I hit anywhere in the 190 range I'd be fine. Slowed down alot on cars. Trying to get done with school before I do a real build.

I hear its a pretty nice dyno and thoses guys are really knowledgeable when it comes to tuning but they are more about v8's! GL on the dyno! Would like to see the numbers you put out on it

Yeah that's why it's pretty cool to know an old fart like Meng. LOL He knows everyone. I'd be happy with 190 but who knows. Seems weak to me.

what are you looking to run in the 1320? slicks? full interior?

think 2 years ago or so, a black civic dx with a fully built b20/vtec, 12.5:1, bc3+, valvetrain, etc ran a 13.99, can't remember if he was using slicks or not...

No idea, ill be running drag radials with full interior.

13.9 for a fully built b20vtec is slow IMO.

yeah, not sure on the track prep at scr but na b series usually don't do too well there unless race gas, itbs, 13:1+ compression, single lob cams, slicks, whole 9 yards... just get a turbo or K if you want to go fast

or come do a track day when the road course is open

Ks tuned, quality parts/service but it'll cost ya. Landa performance might be better cost wise but no experience with him. Sadly both rep junk2 products I believe...

My buddy ran a 12.3 with his fully built 2.0 gsr. Made 234whp at KS with no LSD in a full interior DC2.

Not sure what exactly he had. He was running pro2's. Slicks with no LSD. That motor was an easy 11's.

Well what do you expect. Bigger displacement overall bigger motor. I'd boost a B series before going K. To each their own.

I'd boost a b too if I was only interested in driving my car straight for a few seconds, but I'm building my car for road course and auto-x events. Like you said, to each their own
