Re: Any reputable engine builders in Sac?
lol if you told them that, when you took your parts in i understand why, that what a machine shop do,machine head / block. lol but you gotta tell them what you want done to the head / block.they do as you tell them too, they're are not mind readers and can't not guessing what you are thinking in your head. all the work i have sent to cascar came out fine. you just gotta be detail to them on what you want done to your head/ block. not just machine the head/block...

Wow, almost everything I hear about cascar these few years are not good at all. Used to hear nothing but good things from people who has had their service, but seems that the workmanship and quality is going down fast.
So, you had them do the machine work and assemble it for you?

No. I needed to smog and it failed miserably. I took it out before I got to test it. So what's my best bet?
They assembled the head and did the machine work. I had someone else put the block together.
Who wants to tear open my engine? I hope it's just a leak seal or seals and not the block. Did I messed it up breaking it in on the dyno? Blown head gasket?

Broke in my motor on the dyno. Put the motor in, towed it to the dyno adjust here and there for idle and drove it on the dyno. Been running just as good the day it came off the dyno about 2.5 years ago.
Take it back to cascar and see what they have to say about it.
Yup, all my work goes to Del's also.
