2011 Suzuki DR-Z400S Dual Sport (street legal!) with 4k miles
2011 Suzuki DRZ400S Dual Sport with 4,050 miles (may increase slightly). Title in hand, price is $3,999. Motorcycle is located in Owings Mills, MD approximately 25mins NW of Baltimore. No test rides without cash in hand
If this is your first time looking at a dual sport motorcycle, it's basically a dirt bike with a headlight, turn signals and a license plate; it's completely street-legal and can be registered just like a car. You can drive on the highway, in the city and on dirt. This bike does it all!
Insurance costs me only $186/year with State Farm for FULL COVERAGE (comprehensive/collision/liability/tort). Averages ~50mpg with regular fuel. Don't like the color? A set of Acerbis replacement plastic fairings goes for ~$100. Don't like how tall it is? Add 2" lowering links for $80. These bikes are super cheap to own and maintain. More powerful than the anemic 250cc bikes but also not too much power that it's a handful, and weighing only 320lbs (about 80lbs less than a Kawi KLR650 or Honda XR650 dual sport which is definitely a handful off-road).
Maintenance: fresh oil/filter change, new rear tire and battery replaced in April of this year. Bike has always been stored indoors and connected to a battery tender when not in use.
Engine and exhaust is completely stock/unmodified. I've added crankcase guards, a skid plate, rear luggage rack (removable) and Devol radiator guards (I have the stock plastic guards too) for riding off-road (don't want a cracked radiator or punctured crankcase to ruin your day!). These aren't just aftermarket upgrades, these are absolute necessities if you ride off-road even once! Battery tender lead also installed.
Bike is in excellent shape mechanically and has minor cosmetic scratches from the few times I've had it off road. I'll attempt to buff out the scratches prior to selling the bike.
Not interested in trades unless it's for a '99-00 Honda Civic Si, '94-01 Acura Integra GS-R or partial trade towards a truck/suv. Cash sale highly preferred, but if you're going to offer me a trade, don't make me play "twenty questions"; just send me pics/info/link via private message and state all of the terms +/- cash on your end, etc.
