Re: (racin jasin R)
WTB: This week. I can drive to you.
d15b6 long block with intake manifold. Does not necessarily have to be complete but running. I don't mind if there is slight smoke.
If you have the catylitic converter for it thatd be great, because I believe mine is going bad and I itd be appreciated if someone could hook me up.
ALSO, I am interested in a smooth running HF tranny (89-91).
I can pick up whenever, and where ever. Cash in hand.
Thanks,
Shane

if you're obd2 injector clips then just unplug those and crank the motor for a good 20-30 seconds to build up as much oil pressure as you can through the motor. of course just make sure you have EVERYTHING plugged in with oil and coolant poured. just triple check everything. im sure you have but it never hurts to do it one last time. turn key to on and listen for fuel pump. once it starts let it idle for a good 10-15 mins while you're checking for any kinda leaks. do you have a wideband or are you running off a basemap of some kind? keep an eye on the rpm's and make sure the fan comes on at least once. shut it off and change the oil and do whatever else you'd like
i hope you've read up on how to properly break in a motor...

I converted to obd1 clips. ill check everything over and extra 3 times just to be safe. Im on all motor right now till i get my manifold...and wat i read on breaking it in was basically just beat the **** out of it after making sure its running correctly. im not sure wat map to run on since its a built GSR bored to 84mm on stock injectors right now....
should i use the stock p28 map?
Or something else?
thanks dinko!!
