Hi, we bought this car for my son for his graduation with only 88,000 miles. It has turned into a boat, "take a bucket and put it in the water and toss dollar bills in it everyday". We were ripped off by this small dealership in Sarasota/Bradenton area, by the owner's son. We paid $2000 for it (which is a steal with that mileage). He filled it will Freon supposedly, and it was gone halfway to Port Charlotte. I stopped at Auto Zone to get some car detailing products. I went to lock the car door and the key went right through the hole where the lock was supposed to be. I drove it home to detail it, to surprise my son. He was over the moon, his 1st car. Everything that could go wrong has, and we want to keep it. We have invested total $6500, and need engine swap advice. Our mechanic said that with everything mechanical wrong, it would be cheaper to replace the engine. I found a D16A6 for $350 from a '88 CRX? HELP!
