Default Integra projector 94-97 vs. 98-01

Do the 98-01 Integra projectors offer a better light pattern than the 94-01 models? I was going to retro fit, but if the 98-01 models will work properly with an HID kit then I'll go with that. I'm looking for clean cut off points....I don't want to blind the on coming traffic. Thanks in advance.

I believe, but have no hard evidence, that the optics are the same between the 2 headlamp styles. I think the only differences are in the external shape.

Integra halogen projectors won't be overly blinding with a HID kit, but you won't gain any visibility with a HID kit. In fact, you'll lose it thanks to over powering the foreground.

Retrofit with a nice, wide, even beam pattern HID projector, if you want to see better.

Damn! It's going to cost money again, but thanks for your input. I was hoping you'd tell me that the 98-01 lights were great and all I'd need was a good HID kit.

I wish.

2000 GSR daily driver here. I wouldn't mind actually being able to see better, but a HID kit isn't going to achieve that.

In fact, I've parked side by side with another 98+ Integra with a HID kit. Both cars lit up the exact amount of area, but the additional birghtness of the HID kit made it just wash out what it did light up. Doing this made the HID kit equipped Integra owner suddenly doubt his purchase decision...

They are the same, even the JDM halogens(94-01) are the same except for the LHD sheild. The differance is actual headlight shape, not the projector.
