hey guys..my 98 Accord Ex headlights are to dim..how to brighten
I searched but could not find any references.
My car has 110K miles.
The headlights are too dim. Are these bulbs interchangeable?
Can I go to an autoshop like autozone and buy the bulbs? Do I have to change the entire headlight housing?
I drove to Las Vegas and my lights were so dim compared to the other cars.
thanks,...thank you very much

Silver Stars huh?
I just got off the phone with Checker..they said $49 for both. I hope these wont mess with my electrical. I just want a well lit headlight for safe driving.
thanks again

Re: (TheMuffinMan)
I just got back from Checker with the Sylvania SilverStar Ultra series model 9006. The sales person said this was for my regular driving bulb...aka low beam.
Update: I installed only one side. There is a notable difference. The old lights were very yellow and dim. The newer bulb is whiter and brighter. I will drive it tonight and see the difference with the newer and older bulb.
Thanks for the quick help. I will update this post with my experience driving back to Los Angeles.

Are yor headlights sandblasted? If they are from road grit, try buffing them with some 3M plastice polish. I think that would help out to along with the new bulbs.

I cant tell if they are sand blasted. Looks okay to me.
Changing the bulb helped dramatically. What a huge difference. It was well worth the money.
thanks all...bye

Update, after 11 months one of the Sylvania bulbs died. What a piece of crap. I doubt I will buy Sylvania again. I asked around - turns out Sylvania bulbs dont last long.

11 months isnt too bad for those. They are higher output than most halogens so the life is less. Buy some oem style ebay headlights and do a HID retrofit.
