K20a type r swapped em1
Hello, I have a 2000 Milano red em1, I was thinking of swapping my old b16, first I was thinking of doing a b18c type r then I saw that I didn't need to rush the swap so now I decided I keep saving my money and get a k20 .
I understand there's muntiple kits I wi have to get to my the engine for an older chassis.
Now the car is obd2b, so my question is how will this car be wired up? This is the only thing k need help me so far.
I'm gonna have a shop install it, but I knkw a guy who owns it so they'll gonna cut me a deal and they'll keep my old b16.
Thanks in advance all help is appreciated

I was just hoping I could get some tech support with the wiring, I plan on getting a k-tuned conversion harness for 99-00 civic. Since you have done this at home, you could provide some great answers.

Re: K20a type r swapped em1
- conversion harness (k-tuned, hybrid-racing, sparks, etc)
- oem 02-04 rsx type s harness/charge harness
that's it for wires.
also, go on k20a.org - all the info you are looking are on there with plenty of help.

I was thinking of using the jdm harness, I know it's oviously from a rhd car so I will have to drill a hole on the firewall since its shorter. With that being said can I still use a rsx charge harness ?

Here is the guide I used for my charge harness as it will have to be changed in order to work in your car. In this guide they got mixed up on where the fuse box connections go. The fuse box connection that is attached to the positive battery terminal goes in the rear fusebox connection, and the alternator connection goes to the front fusebox connection. (That all being said that is correct for Ek's and Ej's, I cannot promise that is accurate for your car so check your stock wiring to confirm before you pull it all out.

And I would personally look for a k20a2 wiring harness, Its not really all that hard to put in place and would save your firewall from being cut on. And definitely get a swap harness. If your like me you would lose your mind trying to wiring the entire harness yourself.

Using a k20a2 harness would make things a lot easier . Nd thanks for that link to hybrid racing!
I'm ordering my engine axlesand mounts from hmo next month . So just doing some research whenever I get a chance. One thing that I am iffy about is the cooling system , I know I can use various hoses , nd rads but how do I hook up the sensors up . Soneone told me I would have to use my old ones . How do I connect those to my new k20 harness ?
