Noob honda chick
Hello
I'm just getting into this world and have been soaking up everything possible. It actually surprises me how much I've learned in such a little time. I've had my hatch for about 3 years, and last year I started doing body work, paint, and interior.(the paint looks like *** tho...I'll never let someone paint my car in their garage ever again) This year I'm aiming for minor cosmetics and a swap. I took my car to a friend to get a used apexi exhaust cuz the stock **** fell off... and helped put it on when I realized with help I'll be able to do everything and that's how I'll learn. So I'm going to need TONS of help and advice.

Welcome as said already and that's a great philosophy. Learn by doing, not by watching.
What swap do you have your eyes on and what color to you plan on going with?

I wanna boost her, but I'm taking it one step at a time. I've done some research and I've decided on a H22 I'm gonna build it and leave it that way until I have the money to boost it.
Currently I had her painted black with a pink pin stripe. I had the seats re-done in black and pink as well. Along with new carpet. She was pretty rough before all the body work. I'm gonna leave it black tho so I don't have to pay to have it jammed again. I just wanna nix the pin stripe.

Yes its definitely a journey. You probably already knew about cars tho. I went from not understanding anything about cars to knowing a significant amount. It's was pretty funny how I got into it tho. I had just bought my first bike and I was thinking about selling the honda for some extra cash to use on the Buell. When my dad flipped out and told me I couldn't sell it that it would be well worth it to put money back into it. He told me that people were turning them into race cars and I looked up some videos and fell instantly in love. I love fast things. My Buell was my first love but the love I have for my car far surpasses it.

Hmmm well you have the right idea! H22 red top, find yourself a nice stout b16 tranny and you have yourself a genuine K-Killer.
I would definitely agree with you on getting rid of any sort of pinstripe. It's your car and you will do with it as you please, but if you've noticed most true Honda enthusiasts try to keep their cars looking as closely to OEM as possible.
Now that's not to say adding some Uber cool JDM parts is frowned upon but in the "Honda Game" you'll learn quick to stay under the radar.

I agree with this but would consider getting a gsr tranny if you do much highway driving. I have a gsr tranny in my car and really like it.

And I'm not the type of girl to conform to what other people think is "cool". It was just my first time getting anything custom so I kinda got ahead of myself because I was excited. I didn't want anyone to mistake me car for a man's either. I didn't want anyone thinking I was driving a boyfriends car you know? Either way I'm so sick of that pin stripe...i'm just ready for it to go.

Red top is the jdm h22 that comes with the best compression and head out of the line. I mean by all means it's your car and what you ultimately want.
I'm in for the progression though. Definitely love when an enthusiast turns things around and decides they want to make their car clean and legit.
