Going from pick ups to a hatch, and I'll never go back.
Bought a spray painted 5 speed '95 hatch a couple of months ago with a d15 motor and steelies all around. I went through three Ford Rangers this summer and my last one is topless so I needed a winter beater, and boy is it a beater. So far I know that the car started out red, then was spray painted black, then sprayed red again. It looks like it was in a bad front end crash as the whole front end were all different colors at one point and the hood/quarters/headlights don't exactly line up. It's been lowered with coilovers and JDM sport lowering bars/beams(?). It also a non-vtec d15 (not sure what kind) when the car came with a d16. I work as a jet ski mechanic at a local motorsports shop and know my way around two strokes and four cylinders from buying crappy Rangers. So far I've just cleaned it up, re-painted the bumpers (after the pics were taken), replaced a rear wheel hub, and replaced the stock intake (with a crusted up air filter that had been electrical taped on) with a pieced together one, and added a really bright white led strip for a license plate light (favorite mod to the car, looks seriously cool). It has it's issues but it's a fun little car that's a dream to work on compared to the V8 stuffed in the Ranger.
Thanks,
Chase
