Exhaust leak? 2001 Honda CRV
Hi there. I just bought a low mileage CRV 2001. My problem is that when I drive there is a hissing that is coming when rpms get to 3-4000. It does not happen when I rev the engine in park. I first thought it was the exhaust manifold gasket. It may still be that. It definately sound like an exhaust leak.
The vehicle also cycles on idle from .5 rpm to 1 rpm. It only does this every once in a while. And it dies some times at a stop sign. I think it might be a vacuum leak. Maybe both problems are a vacuum leak. I cannot figure it out because it is hard to diagnose while driving
Any ideas?
