Okay what are CELS and where can I find to see them? Good news I found out the idle problem was a vacuum problem if we plugged it up with a finger the idle would be smooth if we took the finger off it would be rough. I also adjusted the idle speed a little too. The car seems to be running pretty good with out the secondarys open. It pulls hard but I am sure the performance can be improved via secondarys working etc. Also the EACV is not hooked up because it was mainly or indirectly causing the rough idle due to vacuum issues. I tried to fix the cracked IAB box and solenoid but its history. Turns out the solenoid is a $150 from honda and the box is $30. So next step would be to track down a box from a junkyard. If any of you know what cars the IAB box is in would be much help I think the 94-95 sohc vtec accords had them too.

CEL=Check engine lights, There should be A wire in your harness adapter that you can ground out to flash your cel's and did you hook up A speedo cable?

Okay there is a CEL on its the only idiot light on. No the speedo is not hooked up since I will have to swap to elec. I do not know about this ground that will flash for me. I took it for a run with the secondaries opened all the way bypassed the IAB since its broke and there is a difference on how it pulls and runs. It seems to pull good but to my knowledge but not sure how good. Never had an h22 before. But I am still working the bugs out far as the vacuum lines and how it is idling. So I am hoping that may be hindering some performance...

Well your probably not even hitting vtec without A speedo, you can just run the cable speedo pickup out of your D series transmission.

Are you hitting vtec or not? I assume youve driven a car with vtec before....on an H youll definately know if its hitting.....does it fall on its face after 5k? Does it scream? Sounds like you got a few bugs.....

I think vtec is working it does get alot louder at around 5k rpm and I do feel a difference. I am guessing a way to test it if it is working is put a light on the vtec sol and hit 5k rpm. or run the car with vtec un plugged. All vacuum lines are hooked up but the IAC I think it is the actual sol. Its located on the fuel rail on this perticular h22. People by pass it from the pictures from the fuel pressure reg. straight into a vacuum nipple on the manifold. The stock HF does not have previsions of this so how to wire it is unknown. I think its the problem cuz the CEL is on still and the EACV is not hooked up. When it is hooked up it has a rough idle and CEL is still on. It seems to be a vacuum like problem? So to the best of my knowledge those are the only known problems. Runs good, pulls good, timed it and adjusted the dist. There is a slight lifter noise no biggy ill adjust it... It is pretty wicked fast and I am sure once the last bug is fixed it be a lil quicker. The clutch is crazy and will take a lot to get use to. I do like the 8 lb flywheel. Next will be to the dyno to tune the stock cams in. I will post pix up today...

I was just told this. I will check the code but I think maybe since I have the p13 ecu and it requires the EGR to be hooked up and its not then its throwing a code? only way it wouldnt would be if I had a p28 ecu?

Definetly a fun 3 month project! If I had to do it again probably take 2-3 weeks.

pix! Next: fine tune it! Alignment and take it to the battle on the 27th...I am hoping for right around 160-170 whp with the stock header and 2" exhaust. Would love to dip into the 13s right off the bat but I think low 14s for sure.

If you can only manage 14's then you don't deserve to drive it.

exactly! if you dont know your car completely, you wont be going too fast. I just put on the BM fuel pres. reg. and adjusted it to 42 psi at full throttle which is right around 34 psi at idle. Stock it was 30 psi at idle and around 35 psi at full throttle...

2point2's: jdm h22 crx i/h/e, LSD, traction bar ran 13.7 right off the bat with a bad clutch supposively and stock flywheel and crank pulley.

Mine: jdm h22 crx i/e traction bar, LSD, Stage 3, 6 puck clutch, 8 lb flywheel, 1 lb alt only crank pulley, SS valves, Stage 2 port and polish, 30k mill of the head, 255 lph fuel pump, BandM fuel pres. reg. and gauge. Skunk2 cam gears.

Ya, Ill post it up later today, okay I am throwing a code 14 (iacv) idle air control valve. It is not hooked up because when it is hooked up the engine has rough idle. But when its unplugged it runs good?????? I am guessing there is a vacuum leak??? Also I am getting a code 36 TCS traction control system it is a soft code? how to fix this problem? someone said it cuts the fuel off etc at 6500????

The IAC code should not affect how the car runs. Just block off the lines or build a simple block off plate. You should also throw a code 12- EGR if you didn't hook it up. Don't worry about that either. I have no clue on the traction control code. Maybe something with you using the auto ECU? Make sure to hook up a speedo though. VTEC will not engage until it reads 19mph i do believe. Someone correct me if i am wrong on this.

Overall the project looks awesome. Congrats on having the patience and motivation to do something like this. Now just work out all the littel bugs, and drive the heck outta her!

Good news no codes for the moment! There was a vacuum leak like I thought the whole time which caused rough idle etc. and was throwing a code 14 iacv and 36 TCS well I heard a vacuum leak coming out of the brake booster. So I am like oOh cuz its a teg one that I replaced when I did the 4 wheel disc swap. So I hook up my old booster outside of the car run the vacuum lines sure enough works no rough idle, So I take the MC out and there is a seal I take the seal out and look to see if the teg one has a seal sure enough no seal I slap the stock seal on and sure enough runs fine I adjust the idle just right and no codes at all no even the 36. Runs smooth and a lot better. I will have to check on the vtec thing but I think it is working because I can hear it not as much feel it when it gets right around 4-5k...??? and yes the VSS is not hooked up...

I get the code 36 as well and I was told it is a ghost code for the 4ws that some prelude models had. Shouldn't be a problem, and will only show if another code is present.

Glad to hear its running. As soon as HASport get the mounts ready,we're putting a H22 into a 89' HB. I'm shure I'll have a ton of questions once I start the swap. I'll see you at BOTi.
