Default Obd2 to obd1 no spark question

98 civic ex coupe
96 gsr motor
11.5:1 cp with all bolt ons possible.

Obd2 motor into obd2 car with just the jumper harness in to a p28.

Ok fresh rebuild on the motor and was try to get it to start with my new chiped p28. Got no spark. Plug the oem p72 in and it fired right up. Do I need a obd1 dizzy? What could be going on? Got the ecu from madfablabs and have heard wonderful reviews about them so I'm guessing the ecu is fine. It's just my set up. What do I need to do to get spark on the p28?
Thanks

sounds like you have a bad map on the ecu.
