Default my g23 vtec 92teg

hey guys ive already got a f23a engine that im in the process of tearing down i plan on getting it bored to 87mm. i still had some questions about the pistons though, i was planning on using K634M87 wiseco pistons that are meant for the K24 with K20 will these work with a h22 head and oem head gasket? i haven't decided if i should run oem connecting rods with arp rod bolts or go with a set of crower rods just for extra security i plan on running it up to maybe 8.2k rpms at most. im gonna start out with a stock h22 head and maybe add a aftermarket valve train later. ill make sure to post plenty of pics! i apreciate any input and suggestions
the pics are my f23a block, my car as it is now and my j1 tranny i will be using for this build

i just got done with this build in my 90 integra i went with the wisco 87mm pistons and oem rods the h22 head gasket will work the water pump was a pain in the *** it took a great machine shop, a micrometer, and the f23 water pump housing the h22 and f23 gears to get the water pump to work with the new head i also put in a kizan speed blance shaft removel kit in the block and kept the stock head ill do the intrunels later........ if you have any other questions just ask

i went to buds machine shop in Lakewood Washington and i got the block bored, honed, the head refaced, and the two oil drain holes pluged for 220 he even cleaned the block for me and had me bring in the pistons just to make sure each cylinder was at perfect bore..... heres my post on my build so far www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2494707

just a minor update trying to get a hold of a built h22 head that is port and polished, has a 3 angle valve job, skunk 2 springs, retainers, and ferrea valves and would run skunk 2 pro 3 cams. i ordered a balance shaft removal kit from kaizen speed like a week ago but i still haven't heard that its been shipped and they haven't charged my card yet >< how long did it take everyone else to get their balance shaft removal kits? does anyone know if you can run the stock bearings with crower sport rods? i already ordered an acl race bearing kit so i sure hope so . Does anyone from the Washington south sound area have recommendations as far as machine work is concerned i still have to get my block bored and honed just waiting on my wiseco pistons i was thinking of getting it done at speed factory. ill be taking lots of pictures as soon as i start doing more work this is my first time doing anything involving engines so should be fun ><

going good i just switched out the water pump gears today just used a gear puller and tapped it on with a hammer. im trying to figure out how to tap the hole in the block for the balance shaft removal kit though the tap they supply isn't long enough... i got an rmf replica header so looks like im gonna have to get a traction bar and a half size civic rad to make it fit gonna be sweet!

if you put a 10mm socket on the back of the tap with a extension you should be able to tap the hole

you can find a standard that fits it i found a 1/4" ratchet standard that was able to fit through with an extension if you you the 3/8 ratchet then it won't go through all they way i forgot wat size the standard was so you can go to a place and compare the 10mm to the standard the standard is slightly smaller

Saw the car in person at Speed Factory nice build! It's begging for a better header though I wouldn't be shocked if you saw 20hp increase with Hytech or Six Sigma etc...
