Re: CIVIC SRT-4 SWAP DYNO
Was the Civette cool?? Hell yes it was. But at the same time it was kind of cheesey... I mean come on... Its a Corvette with a Civic body dropped on top of it(more or less). Same goes for the Mustang powered Integra thats floating out there somewhere. I guess the fact that im not a "fabricator" is whats blocking me from seeing the awesomeness in this type of car.

Re: CIVIC SRT-4 SWAP DYNO
Srt4 motors have forged internals Lol how can you even
compare it to a weak *** b16 that blows up with no boost whatsoever bahaaha. I used todrive a honda, then I quit being a broke *** and started enjoying a real car with a/c that blast freezing cold and has boosted on a 35r for over 45000 miles... lemme see a stock honda piston take that abuse. Good build! Whoever talks **** about this can prolly barely put a gsr in a eg... props to you bud. FUkk haters

Here's a bone stock setup on 20 lbs.
J32A, stock, with stock trans and stock axles making 700.
There are a lot of Honda engines that will reliably support a lot of boost for a long time. Tune, tune, tune... of course saying that is beating a dead horse.

For some reason all I can think of is a scene from the show Community, the one where Professor Chang is in the back of the classroom... forgot what he says though...

Cool swap but I'd be worried about how long that engine is going to last and reliability. I see them come into the shop all the time. The problem with them isn't the internals its everything else. I don't see many of these engines that get passed 120k on stock boost, higher boost isn't going to help things like the head gaskets last anylonger. It probably won't die from catastrophic engine failure like a B without forged internals but its a problem riddled engine for sure.

Cool. Not sure if it can be justified from a performance to cost perspective, but its interesting to see something different.
Lolwut? Ever heard of an F20c/F22c?
S2000s with turbos can make 450-500whp on stock blocks for yeaaaaaaaaaars. Even higher power levels will last quite a long time on the stock engine.

As much as I appreciate any well built car, I don't see the point in doing this. Props to the owner though... Oh and to the guy that said no Honda engine can make a reliable 400hp on stock internals, I think you forgot the f20c/f22c. They make 600whp on stock internals all day.

Re: CIVIC SRT-4 SWAP DYNO
Props on doing something diff. But I agree with the haters. Bad choice. For you guys that say they take the power for long you obviously have never owned a srt-4 or not more than 10,000 miles at least. Have several friends that prefer that car but ask all of them. Its hard to get one to even make it passed 50,000 miles new with nothing done to it. My hondas never blew up until over 150,000. With me ******* the hell out of it. And the factory piston can take it all day. The problem is lack of engine building with the right valve to piston clearance. Op good job on doing something u wanted and achieving it.

Re: CIVIC SRT-4 SWAP DYNO
Very awesome to see someone doing something outside of the mold. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the fact that you went through all of that, then slapped some eBay Garbo on there, and in a rather important area of the build. Otherwise, awesome man!!!!!

As long as the tune is good on stock internals they can push 600whp. parts are cheap even when dealer bought plus it has a decent aftermarket still even though they made 25k SRT-4's from 2003-2005.
Aaron is the man with these engines:

It is definitely a nice hybrid!

Re: CIVIC SRT-4 SWAP DYNO
I'm with Nivo...my big turbo stock longblock Srt has +- 140k now. Big turbo for the last 40k and has been daily driven on the exact ethanol tune that made 515whp at PWerks in Chicago. I'm really not sure how anyone could knock these engines of all things...we have trans problems and are limited severely by the stock turbo design but the engines?! That's the strong suit for the car!
