Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
quick question. i know this may be a dumb idea but im planning to build my motor slow. so far, im planning to buy an h22 head with s2 valve train. is it okay to use my stock cams and block still? is it going to affect anything? you can say i want a sturdy valve train that can handle stress and last me a while.

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
Dear All,
Below is my setup, nothing much actually, barely stage 1 upgrades.. currently running stock on CD6(JDM) block and i'd like to know the potential of this block, how many ponies could i squeeze from it?
F20B SiRT Cams
Euro R Intake (bored to 68mm)
Euro R GB
Custom Header (2inch - 2.5inch collector)
JDM P30 ECU
The rest remain stock. As for the records, this machine was dynoed 190hp 22tq

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
okay i have a 91 crx dx and i have h22a swap in it were having problems getting injectors to work when we dump gas in intake it starts fine anyone know what i could do i have p13 ecu and stock h22 wiring harness
Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
Sknotragg06, do you need a resistor box for your application when using the stock injectors?
Go buy some new seals for your injectors if you've been pulling them out over and over, then you lightly oil the seals with fresh oil and slide them in the rail first, then push the rail onto the intake manifold i THINK. NAPA Part # IK2902 fit my 'jdm h22a' stock injectors just fine, no mods

I got my swap done last night, my timing belt is walking off the manual tensioner. Should not have done the conversion, i should have replaced the auto tensioner, although that would have been more expensive -_-
I'm searching right now but somebody might be able to tell me some easy fix
And to the guy who posts 'I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM THIS IS A PICTURE OF MY NEW SWAP' your a dick. I have thought that ever since I saw your post a while back. Your not a nice person.

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
you need another one of those thin washer between your crank timing belt gear and the crank pulley. I used one off the f22 and made the keyhole with a dremel. Other people use one off the b-series. you deleted the balance shaft gear, right? the one behind the crank pulley.
Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
Thanks for the fast response !
Of course dealerships are closed, even thought they wouldnt stock the item.
I didnt delete the balance shafts, i chose not to hook up the belt though
You see the front one in the pic dont u? Something wrong with running it that was as far as you know? I suppose i could pull em?
I think i have all of the parts that came off the motor, probably no washer that i can use though in there. Right now i'm trying to change the belt and get at the tensioner.
Never done it before in the car, its interesting.
How do i remove the crankshaft gear? i got the pulley off but the keyway is in with the gear.
/edit//
Hey, i might have found my problem
Thats making the belt go out in the middle. It would be straight if not for that washer!
but on the guide here
http://www.collectiveracing.net/crfo...er-conversion/
it SHOWS that he uses it??? wtf
I might just remove it and try that

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
i have an h22a swaped eg that currently wont pass emissions . the report came out saying the car was running to rich = CO gpm limit 15.000 my car = CO gpm 40.82 . now i think the internals are stock but the motor came with headers, intake, and a bdl fuel rail with and egr block off . also i dont know if the injectors are stock . now a Buddie of mine says that all i might have to do is turn down the fuel pressure by getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. is there any merit to this?
Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
I am having issues with a 93 prelude I just picked up. When driving, the throttle seems to stick when going to shift. Also anytime I stop, it stays idling at 2k, then takes a minute before dropping down to about 1600. When I start the car in the morning, it idles at a steady 1k. But as soon as I put it in reverse and go to shift into second, it automatically jumps up to 2k again. Seems to do it worse in warm weather. Any help?

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
Im in search of a H22 engine for my 99 prelude, i had a h22a4 engine in it, is it ok if i put a h22a1 engine instead? do i have to change anything else
Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
I just installed my h22a into my 1992 accord. started it up and when i rev it up to 2,000rpms some what slowly it starts to rev up and down between 1,000 and about 2,500rpms. I have no idea whats worng with it please HELP ME.
H22a swap bad rev
I just got done swapping my 1995 h22a into my 1992 accord and when I slowly rev up to 2,000rpms it starts to rev between 1,200-2,300rpms. When I unplugged the TPS sensor this stopped. I replaced the TPS sensor with a new one thinking it was the sensor, but when I plugged it back in it still does it. Please help me, I have no other ideas of what it could be.
Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
Hello all,
I am stuck with something i am sure it would sound crazy to you but your help is needed.
I am trying to swap a H22a7 into a eh8 / eg8 civic.
I got the complete package with engine gearbox ecu etc from UK. I can persent import papers if anyone wishes. as my trouble is security issue.
the thing is, i realise that the ecu has a immo on it, i have got the original key and barrel with the package but that is all. so i have ecu plus barrel plus key i dont have the transponder box.
The ecu is PDE-E03, if u can advice on:
1. can the engine be swaped and started with the combination of key and ecu, if yes how?
2. what do i have to get to bypass the immo? DIY prefered.
Regards

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here
Ok i have a h23a bluetop in my eg civic ATM mated with a h series box, with Hasport mounts,
Came across a Cheap QSD h2b kit and i am up in arms now if i should buy it or not as when installing the Hasport mount it required you to cut the OEM transmission mount.
Has anybody done this swap before and what have they done to fix it??
