I'm still waiting on my swap from HMO impatiently, and i was just wondering how many people have actually owned an h22 (or h23) eg?

I goto a big Honda-Tech Meet in Southern California, you're likely to see a total of maybe

60 cars. Of those 60 cars, about 20ish of them have their stock motors still. Of those 60 cars, I usually see 2 - 4 H22As in a Civic/Integra. The rest are B-Series.

Therefore by inductive induction, I would say there's about 4/60, or 6.67% of the swaps out there are H22As.

Let's see... I owned a H22A EG hatchback (sold it over a year ago), owned a H22A EK hatchback (sold it a few weeks ago), had a H22A DC2 for a short time (traded for another car) and now we have our NASA challenge-spec car that is getting the built motor taken out and a built H22A put into it . I'll be driving it at the Hybrid Track Day this coming April and will have the camcorder mounted on the cage .

BTW, some might ask "why did you sell the cars for? any problems?" and the answer is NO problems at all and the reason why they were sold is because we threw out a high offer, and a few biters took it so we sold it and started another project after it. With that said, I'd still go H22 over most B-series setups for daily driving and track (drag & road course) use, but that's my opinion.

Me to, but mine's in a 92 DX. It's becoming more popular now that people are done with the whole, "it's not a reliable swap" bullshit. But I'd say prolly 10-15%. I'm the only one in the Capital District region of NY, but I know there's a couple downstate from me and a couple out west of me. The last meet I was at had probably 50 or so civic's there. Like ALL MOTOR said, most had stock engines and the rest were B-series. I was the only H22.

Not many people would take an H22A over a road course. Newman is one of the very few. A good suspension, LSD, and anti-sway bars is the best combination in a great handling H22A.

Mine is going to be built for the roadcourse and autox. I"m still deciding on which engine to swap into my new toy, just look at my sig. Everyone always suggest 1/4 racing with this engine but I have a whole different approach to it. You guess will see eventually what I mean.

Should be fun in our current shop project. It's our NASA challenge-spec EG hatchback (I posted pics up of it a few months ago). It has a 1" ITR MC & BB, GSR brakes all around, full ITR suspension & sway bars, M2B4 LSD tranny, full welded 6-pt cage, etc. Compared to my old EG hatch that I took out to the same road course (stock CX brakes, no sway bars, shitty Tokico's & Skunk2 coilovers, lots of chassis flex), this one would kick *** on the course. Camcorder on the cage will be a must . I'll have to take some pics later this week of it after the swap is all done .
