Re: (pheurton-skeurto)
I think rocket man should come here and realize how many ppl want roses and start mass producing them and we can help fund the completion of the RED ROCKET

Re: (Unidentified)
you morons. Stop asking about the roses. Obviously somethin is goin on in his life to the point where he decided on letting go his sweat, money, and endless time he spent on this amazing build- let alone him having the time to want to make roses for people? Get real.
I can't stress how much I really wished you would reconcider and finish this project. You are so close to finishing as many others have stated already. You have the backbone of HT supporting you man... don't let it go. You put so much time and energy into it. Put it aside and come back to it during a later part of your life when you have the time to do so.

Sean/Alex
Sorry, for the life of me I can't remember your name (I meet about 100 people a week).
Whatever you have to do to move on with your life, do it. My project stalled out on the wiring/drivetrain issues (in some ways ahead and in many ways behind your project) and I understand how rediculous keeping a pile of junk in your life/garage can be.
Best of luck with what should be your first two priorities 1)family and 2)education
Peace and love,

Re: (Rocket Man)
best of luck to you man- hate to see someone give up on a project of this size with such a huge following but like many said- this can always be duplicated, take care of yourself first and good luck if your still selling the project. I enjoyed reading every update- peace.

For SALE
Anyways The shell (prelude) as it sits now is for sale $700 picked up comes with all body panels and glass minus interior. Also comes with front suspension minus shocks and springs. The front suspension is complete. bolt in a rx-7 rear end and throw some shocks and springs on there and you have a roller. Minus a engine. You could even throw a 4cycl in there if you want, you would have to modify the mounting points and such.
For $2200 i will go to the junk yard buy some steelies and sell it as a roller with the rx7 rear suspension on it and the front suspension with shocks and springs + brakes. Work that would need to be done is finish some sheet metal for trans tunnel or redesign it if desired smaller for a smaller transmission finish mounting pedal assemblies finish mounting ebrake assembly finish mounting a brake booster or brake assembly.
What is left is basically finish some sheet metal on the transmission tunnel. One or two spots need sheet metal on the firewall, Then you would have to mount the e-brake, and finish mounting up the pedal assemblies. Then you would have to figure out how to run the brake setup there might be room for a small brake booster, or something. I never got far enough to work on that detail. Heck there might be enough room for the booster that came on that car. If not you could always run a hydro booster setup. Then you would have to finish with the wiper system setup which is basically kind of worked out just not done. After you get all that stuff done run yourself a fuel system and all the other minor details you would like to do to the car and you can have it rolling out on the streets.
The pedal area is kind of tight like a viper. Due to how far back we moved the engine and transmission but it is do-able. The transmission tunnel is pretty huge I wish I had done it differently but even if I had it wouldnt make a difference to much on the width of it just the height. The t-56 is a big transmission.
The front suspension should be good to go you will just have to play with it to get your desired settings.
Im pretty much an amatuer and this was the first time ever undertaking a project like this so it isn't as fancy nor does it look as good as some of those shows you see on tv. It isnt bad though.
For those that think they can finish it or would like to try I wish you luck.

Re: (snowblind7x)
Well I suppose your entitled to your own opinion. The fact is I'M NOT FINISHING IT. So if anyone wants to buy it how it sits then okay. If not then It's going to the junk yard to get crushed. End of Story.

he's selling the car. so if it bothers you so much for this not being finished, buy it and finish it.. nobody has to do anything, this isn't for everyone, give him a break.
i give him huge props for attempting something like this and most people wouldn't. the point is he tried, no every project is a success, it doesn't have to be. you learn by trial and error. its better to try and fail than not to try at all.
good luck with future projects

Re: (vtec.dc2)
Well, I guess I followed this thread for MONTHS for nothing....what a waste of time (especially yours).
I wish you luck with whatever problems you are having, and hope everything works out the best.
That said, next time just do like all the other ricers and put an 800 fogger shot on your little 4 banging rice pod.
:/

Re: (acura_el2000)
Why, because I am disappointed that I, and countless others spent tons of time following this? Ever watch a movie and miss the conclusion?
Yeah, I am disappointed and I am positive so is he.....he took a $6k car and made junkyard fodder out of it. I'd put my money where my mouth is, and throw in a little for a collection to get this car finished, as long as it did get finished. I am restoring a muscle car, I know how much time and money these things take.....
