Default What does EPS mean on your dash?

Went back this morning and whack the Map sensor. Reset the ECU. And did the idle reset thing. Where i ran the car at a consistent 3000rpm until the fan came on. Now the EPS comes on in the dash. What does that mean? Click the image to open in full size.

isn't EPS the electronic steering system? Electronic rack and Pinion Steering?

Searched google and found this. It's refering to an NSX but the systems are pretty much the same.

If a problem occurs, the control unit turns the system off by actuating a fail-safe relay in the power unit. This eliminates all power assist, causing the system to revert back to manual steering. A dash EPS warning light is also illuminated to alert the driver. To diagnose the problem, a technician jumps the terminals on the service check connector and reads out the trouble codes.

no no no that's only if you buy an 06 and enjoy the drive-by-wire. that's a lazy bastard. Click the image to open in full size.

what's a REALLY lazy bastard, is anyone who buys a new car because it has "rain sensing wipers". Why don't we just make toilets that wipe our asses? Click the image to open in full size.

Those things are so ridiculous. Takes like 15 minutes to "wipe"! Plus if its laid on thick, I can't imagine the sprayers can get it all. It's like a Jeep that just went mudding going through one of those gas station pressure spray washes.

It's not just laziness. For older people, it's better to use a water sprayer to clean up than toilet paper, because it helps avoid hemorrhoids. I'm not making this up.
