What do you prefer on your S ?
I haven't seen a poll on what will people prefer in modifying their S. So here i'll go ahead and start with this one.
What will you pick ? If you have a chance to build an NA set up or go with a bolt on turbo kit on a stock engine. Which one will actually make you guys satisfied with the vehicle ?

If you have a good flow of money to keep on replacing parts and continually be unable to drive the car due to it being at a shop or on jackstands, anything but just NA would be a pain.

Yep, for people like me to put Turbos or superchargers on them and eat the NA ones

If done correctly the first time w/ quality parts anything can be reliable and FI is much more fun and rewarding.

Yeah, it's that simple considering folks leave out the tuning part.

i hope you realize a highly strung out NA setup is less reliable then a turbo or supercharged setup..... besides we are talking about ITBS on the car and ITB's are not easy to tune..

Yeah, Maybe I should have added tuning (especially since I'm a tuner ) but, at this point anyone who is serious about building a car should either have tuning as Priority No. 1 after the build is complete or have been told by their builder(s) that tuning is a way of life.

Re: What do you prefer on your S ? (hondaguyef)
Ok true tuning is the most important key factor regardless if anyone go turbo or itb.
My concern is im in the situation were im starting to save up for either turbo or go itbs. This will be tune on HKS F Con V pro system, and I found a tuner that know how to use that system. It just I want people opinion on what people usually prefer =P

HKS F Con.. ... thats what i would go with, but i'm on the east coast and ummm i can't find a tuner...
So i'm just settling with AEM EMS

If smog DOES NOT concern you, then I say go with a turbo and a standalone.
But, if smog DOES concern you, then I say go with a supercharger.
Personally, living in CA, I didn't wanna have to deal with having non-CARB legal parts on my S. So I went with a Comptech aftercooled kit...and after 20K supercharged miles, I have absolutely no regrets.

I live in Southern cali, 626 area code and I know quiet well about the smog issue here. I have a cop pop my hood in my civic and found out that I have a built lsvtec hahaha. Well that's the past and this is the present, since I have an 05 I dont need to smog it until 09 =P that assuming if I dont get caught by a cop again * knock on wood*.
I put some thought in to it, Turbo might be rewarding and you might be able to compete with the high end vehicles. I feel that is not fun anymore going in a straight line, I prefer building a street/road racing vehicle which the S2 was meant for.
I was thinking about this set up for all motor.
Stock bottom end F22C, comes with an 11:1 CR already.
Toda C's spec cams and Toda Cam Gears also Toda valve springs.
Intake 255lph Fuel pump
HKS F Con
J's header
J's 70rr header back exhaust
Hayward 50mm Individual Throttle Bodies with ITG filters
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just by looking at this set up if tune correctly, im hoping for at least 240whp-250whp. But after doing some research and looking at dyno plot on most ITB's. I found that ITB done shine when making peak horsepower like s/c or turbo, but if you look at the mid-range compair to the stock dyno or before and after. The mid-range the ITB can produce is just simply amazing! and amazing throttle respond too.
So let me know what you guys think about my set up! feed back will be greatly appreciated and if you have other mods to add or to share that be nice too!
