Re: Ugggh.. S2K or Si.. that is the question
you guys need to remember there was a couple ulgy combination of words in the first post.... "winter" "daily" and "S2000". The s2k over the Si anyday for any normal person, but it isnt the greatest choice if your going to have to commute on shitty winter roads! well, i hope you guys dont use cinders or salt!

Re: Ugggh.. S2K or Si.. that is the question
no im planning on getting rid of the EM2.. so its either a 4dr Si or S2K... not really a fan on the Si coupes.. I honestly do like the Si though aesthetically speaking the S2K owns hands down.. Gonna be test driving the two in the up coming weeks.. but tbh the reason i like the Si so much is because of the mugen kit (sex).. Not really going for major mods with this next car just visual.. But man would i love to be cruising in a drop top.. bu we'll see... and in the meantime i'll see if pops can get some quotes.. hope insurance isnt through the roof

I'm sure it's been said, but have you even tried driving both cars? I think you will have your answer after doing so...

About the noise....? My dd eg hatch makes more noise than my ap2 you'll forget about the noise as soon as you hear the nice tone of the engine!!! That 2point2 is nice, not the fastes in a straight away, but wait till you hit the curves! Hey it's an s2k "the mother of all honda's" I test drove my buddy's cr prior to buying an s2k and before I left the parking lot i was sold!!! 2.2FTW!!! I d'd my s2k for one year before I got a hatch and it's not bad at all it will put a smile on your face every time I give you my word. Hopefully this helps you make the correct choice for your daily needs.

S2k ftw, I just had a 06 civic with navi and all that jazz. Switching to the s2k was the best thing I have ever did. Now , you will need a beater for the winter. Thats easily had for about a 1000 bucks tho.

Re: Ugggh.. S2K or Si.. that is the question
lol the Si guys are all saying buy the Si, huh?
Iduno dude. Buy the S2000 and then either drive your dad's Pathfinder or buy a super cheap beater. I always see beat up civics that still run good on craigslist for like $800 or so. That's about the cost of snow tires for the S2000.
I guess I'm very spoiled. I couldn't live without my DD. I love my EM1. It's like my truck. I tow with it, push cars with it, sometimes I make U turns and do a burnout in someone's lawn and grass and mud flies on it making it look all tough...
Plus, I can stack up friends/provisions for trips. I can drive it to school and worry less about parking lot dings. It's a MONSTER in the winter with all season tires on it. VTEC wakes up the whole neighborhood.
Plus, the car still looks GANGSTER ...especially when it's all cleaned up and stuff.
Why am I talking about my Si so much?
Then again...I could never give up my S2000 unless I got another car that was RWD and had the same amount of "fun" factor in it. I can't afford anything that's more fun than the S2000...nor can I think of any other (realistic) cars that would be more fun than the S2000....
