You can only get them from kodokan_4 on the s2ki forums (he may also have a h-t account). I think he has batches made only so often so you will have to contact him for info on getting them. He has them specially made by McGard just for s2000 owners.

wow thats pretty interesting...

usually s2ks are always getting their top slashed for their seats and steering wheels...thieves love the s2 seats, especially the red ones, and would do anything to get them...

im surprised that they havent tried anything on yours...good thing tho...
just watch out cuz u never know when they strike...and when they do, its too late

thieves kept an eye on me when they took my integra, and i was oblivious to it, until it was too late...next thing i knew, that quiet little neighborhood where i parked my car became "the spot" where they took it...

If a theif steals your seats, he KNOWS how much they are worth, and chances are he's up on S2000 knowledge. What would stop him from buying a set of the seat- locks and then just using it on yours

That's why I never bought seat locks for my S, never seemed worth it.

i dont think they make only one key for each and every single lock they make...that would be kinda retarded...

i believe each set comes with a similar looking but different key...just like the rays lug nuts...

my friend has rays lugs as well and my key doesnt work on his...
**** if it was like that, everyone would just use their own keys to steal everyones stuff...i dont think that can happen...i dont think its quite that easy buddy...

that sucks man... but the sad truth is that if someone wants something bad enough, they'll take it. the seat locks seem like a good idea, but then you still have a trashed top if they dont figure out a way around them... which doesnt seem like it would be to hard.

Those locks are a joke you could clamp a pair of vice grips onto them and easily unscrew it.

EDIT: also if you click the link to them it shows the 'seat locks' in a huge pile and all of the keys in a huge pile, if all the keys were different that means they would have to go through hundreds of keys just to find the right one for each bolt.

The head of the bolts are tapered chief, so you really can't just clamp a pair of vice grips onto the bolt.

Sure, a thief may be able to acquire a key (though kodokan does require a VIN and does not always have kits available for sale). Is having the seat locks better than not having the seat locks? Yes, it is an additional layer of security. If just that one time a thief tries and cannot get your seats because of the seat locks you will know to park your car in a garage for the future and keep a good watch on it. You will probably be in need of a new soft top but you will still have your seats.

Seat locks are tapered, so there is no tool you can get on there to get it loose.

Sure, you could weld a nut onto the top of it to remove it, but again this is to prevent the smash and grab thief.

I also used perm. LocTite and also was able to purposely cross thread one lock on each seat, which makes them damn near impossible to get loose quickly. The socket pattern was then filled with high strength epoxy (after the pics), so if I want to remove them, it will be a PIA.

And agreed, if you live in a crappy area where thieves are bad, buy a hardtop. It's that simple.

Notice the taper...

I've read up on these locks awhile back and it seems to be successful in saving the seats. I believe there were two people who said they had failed attempts on getting their seats with these locks stolen by theives.

A friend of mine has these locks as well and we both have different types of keys.

i had my top slashed and seats stolen. It was a blessing it disquise though. I ended up with an OEM HT and used seats that were better than my old ones. Also pocketed about 1200 bux because of finding a deal on both the seats and the HT.

Thanks Mercury Ins.
