Default Soft-top isn't closing properly...? Please help!

I've owned my car for about a year now and this is the first time this has happened. I rolled my top back up from a random day of driving and the driver side latch wasn't closing properly. The passenger side closed just fine, but it seems like I have to force the driver side latch to secure it. You can see the difference in the pics below from the outside. Also, I can hear wind blowing in through the cabin since this has happened.

passenger side

This hasn't happened to me before so I was wondering if it's happened to anyone else? Can this be easily fixed?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I put my hand on that handle thing in the middle and pull down a bit.

something ain't right - i took the latches apart recently to stop a squeak and it was pretty simple to do - might be worth having a look at..

So how would i go about fixing this? i literally have to force the driver side latch down, like there's something blocking it, but there is nothing blocking the top at all.
