I'm 5'11" 220. I've been riding for 15 years. Fear inducing speed and sense of flying keep me going back. Also, there's no cops on the mountain. It's 5 hours to Whistler/Blackcomb from Seattle, but there's a mountain 40 minutes away.
Good times

Where do you ride? I really miss Steven's... MI has sh*t for mountains.

I was curious about this too. 155 O-matic Awesome - I was thinking about taking the spare tire out and seeing if it would fit in the trunk. No need though, because I got a beater civic that gets 30+ mpg and fits a few snowboards and 2 friends without any problems. Pick up a beater if you can. Even if you can fit the gear in the S2K, it just seems like there's a lot of potential damage that can be done to the interior, and also just from driving such a snappy car up the mountain in snowy conditions. However, if I were to try to fit a board in the car, I'd try putting the top down, putting the board in, and putting the top back up. ...Note though that you shouldn't be operating the top in freezing conditions.

Now to use the S2000 for snowboarding or skiing:
Get winter tires.
Ski/snowboard alone or meet your friends at the mountain.
Lower the soft top, put your skis//snowboard in, pad it with towels or a padded bag, and raise the top.
Lower the top to remove the skis/snowboard.

I have gone skiing/snowboarding multiple times in Colorado in my S2000 (it was my daily driver for a while). I have a 158 snowboard and 180 skis. Both fit easily. Skis longer than 180 cm would probably destroy the soft top. Mine were slightly pushing into the soft top and I had to put a towel between them. Putting the roof up with a snowboard is easy. With skis it requires a bit of caution.

The winter tires are a must. They make winter driving really fun. With winter tires, the car is surprisingly capable on snow and ice.

been riding for a good decade myself... yeah i love the rush you get when you just point it and literally fly by people... ohhh and i got pulled over on the mountain once... i was cruising on this one trail and this guy is yelling at me to stop... i ignore him and just point it the whole way down... eventually i stop and wait for my buddies to catch up, and this [freak]ing ski patrol homo is yelling at me... "i told you to stop!!!" i was like well i didnt hear you... starts giving me more **** and was like ur out of control, and i was like buddy, right now your out of control... reaches inside his pocket, takes down my lift ticket, my last name, and address and was like if i see you ever do that **** again, youre outta here... i gave him a huge smile and rode away... [freak]in loser...

He was just mad he couldn't keep up... in ski's They're usually pretty cool though. I've had a few incidents. Just give them a shrug with an innocent look and you're on your way.
