Should I get an S2000?

Should I get an S2000?
I currently have a 2006 Vw Gti. It has about 36k miles on it.
I was thinking about switching cars and getting my self into an S2K. I live in NY, and I deal with the winters here and what not,
PLus I'd have to buy used...should I still pursue?

get it. you can always get the hard top to protect the soft top during winters. they are a blast to drive. the overall quality of the car is amazing. the car also needs very little through its ownership as far as maintenance goes. always was and will be a honda fan. you may not be able to tell, but i have an ap2.

I'm asking myself the same question. Except I currently have a stage 1 STI.
Excuse the crappy pics:
I'm thinking about getting rid of that and getting a Tacoma for winter/moving crap, and the S2000 to still have something fun to drive. I'm just really torn.

Is this a serious question? You really think we care if you live in New York asking if you should get an S2000? And posted on an S2000 section as a thread? Well the answer is.......
Yes you should.
Yes you should.

Decide yet?

VWs are the worst cars ever. I have no idea how you have a fan following of a car that breaks all the time and could turn into a car-b-que at any moment.
My friend is a VW fanatic. He LOVEs VAG (as in VW/Audi...not vagina...although I'm sure he's a fan of it also). His complaint about his GTi was that it was in the shop more than 1/3 of the time he owned it. So he bought a 09 Civic Si. He likes the car, but comes up with the DUMBEST things to bitch about...like "the turn signal is so loud". I'm serious.
I can tell he still really likes VW and Audi...but at the time just needs a car that is reliable, good on gas, yet fun to drive, etc.
I think that VW has a cult following...but VW guys make NO sense. The competing Hondas are about as fast as competing VWs (if not faster). Hondas will crush VWs in handling terms. The braking is better in Hondas. The reliability is better in Hondas. The maintenance is cheaper on Hondas. Hondas don't have lugstuds that get stuck and then require the hand of God to remove. Hondas don't randomly set on fire from shitty wiring. Hondas are lighter. Hondas get better gas mileage. I could go on and on.
I think the VW appeal comes from how the cars are so packed with features. Hondas are getting better...but they're still mostly meatboxes on wheels compared to their european counterparts.
I think that a problem is that a lot of guys that come over from VW don't "get" Hondas. Someone said it before that Hondas are a lifestyle. They are. Only certain types of people can really learn to love Hondas for what they are. You have to "get" a certain something...iduno.
VWs are the same way, I guess....except for that theres very few obvious advantages.

Re: Should I get an S2000?
The VW lifestyle isnt as much about performance as the Honda equivilant, they are more about looking good and having a good time, I have a few friends that are in to VWs and for the most part their cars are pretty reliable, but then again I have the epitome of a German tank (that omg_miiiike tried to buy from me)
