Default Shaving Fenders and Rolling Fenders

What's the difference between shaving and rolling fenders? Do they serve the same purpose: get extra clearance?

never heard of shaving fenders before, but i have heard of pulling fenders

pulling a fender makes the fender stick out further, allowing a wider/lower offset wheel to fit without sticking out. most of the time this requires repainting the fenders

rolling a fender is when you take a fender rolling tool and basically fold the underside of the fender up so it does not stick out, allowing for slightly more clearance

pulling never requires a repaint. This can be done with a fender roller. Flaring a fender requires a repaint.

It's only ghetto if done ghetto-ly

my 1/4 panels are shaved all the way down for max clearance.

stretching a fender requires paint. i dont see how you would be able to manipulate the metal enough without chipping the paint, even after heating it up

well guys, i got my fenders shaved today at SPUGEN in Whittier. Good **** and it's real legit. All 4 fenders were shaved for maximum clearance. They also put bolts where I didn't have bolts . Overall, great experience and I will be throwing on some BBS wheels this weekend with crazy *** aggressive offsets.

usally shaving will give a tad more clearance(that what i have for the rear), alots no risk to the paint damage.

rust proof sealer+silicon to cover the exposed mild steel

why did you go with a 235/45 instead of a 235/40?

also, how much did spugen charge you to shave fenders?

spugen charged me $100 for all 4 fenders, it's a guy named ricardo that does it, he's cool as hell and has worked on countless s2k's....taught me alot about the car as well. if you have the time, he has the time and will help u fix little nick nacks. the reason why i went 235/45 was because i switched tires from my old rims to new ones, they are stretched a little bit but not much. and i have about 90% tread left.

Fronts should be flush. I have 17x8 +35 and I think I can go in the twenties with that width.

That is pretty cheap! I was charged 40 a fender for my Lexus GS300.
