Seat Lock install!
So i ordered a set of these SEAT LOCKS, and i finally got a chance to install them with a break in the weather....the fit is GREAT.
You can definalty see the quality of the lock itself. What i like best is the locks use different keys.
The install was easy too, i removed the seat bolt,
Here i placed the collar over the hole and reinserted the bolt.
I then put the lock cylinder over the collar and used the key to lock it.
Here is my seat in the normal position, you can barely see it!
Overall i am happy! The lock is rock solid and thick too. Lock has some weight to it. I am actually gonna order another set so i can cover both front bolts on each seat! That should prevent seat theft...sick of thieves selling our seats all over the web.

Re: Seat Lock install!
Looks kinda funky. Good idea, but its been done already.
Sorry to threadjack, but.........
If you post on S2ki, you can get seat locks from Kodokan_4. He was able to get custom locks created by McGard. When I got mine some time ago, it was only like $60, but now the price has jumped to like $90? It comes with 4 locks in total and a key. 2 locks for each seat.
In order to purchase the set you have to prove your an actual s2k owner, with a copy of your registration and insurance card? with a check or money order. Something to that extent.

Doesn't inlinepro have a transverse mount for the F20/22? Once it comes down in price, our whole car will start being stolen and stripped just like the ITR. The seats will be the last of your worries.

Who says a theif can't own a s2000 and buy a set of locks?
That was a major turnoff for me! I rather have pick proof locks that are drill proof and keyed different!
Thanks though

Re: Seat Lock install!
they aren't all the same, the pattern was changed for every 100 or so locks. by your logic, who says the thief can't flatbed your car and take whatever they want? you'd be amazed and what a sawzall or a plasma torch can accomplish.

Re: Seat Lock install!
ok my sister got her 4 yo a natulis and her car doesn't have a lach system so she has to use the seatbelt. Her seat belt also does not lock when retracted so she has to use the seat belt locking clip. I have been looking online for about 30 min but I can not find anything on placement for it. Can anyone help me out? All of my cars have the latch system and locking seatbelts so i never had to know how to use it.

Re: Seat Lock install!
Haven't been on this site in a LONG time!! :D
Got an email that my inbox is full. I didn't even know I had an inbox, and there are PMs dating back over 2 years. Oops!!
Saw this thread and wanted to clarify - The price was never $90 USD. The price has only increased $3 USD since the original price in 2002.
There are also several different key patterns. In order to purchase my Seat Locks, you must show proof of S2000 ownership. My Seat Locks are manufactured by McGard, who also manufacture the Honda brand wheel locks. Keys for McGard wheel locks will not fit the Seat Locks.

Re: Seat Lock install!
I would choose these over those CONE locks that i removed from my friends s2k by simply using a hacksaw to make a line, Then a flathead screwdriver removed them. They are made out of soft material. He saw that and switched over to these.
Thanks!

Don't know what cone locks are, but the Seat Locks manufactured by McGard are case hardened to resist clamping tools.
I also agree that there is no access for a hack saw. Are you even talking about an S2000?
Post up a pic of the Seat Locks you cut so we can see what they are.

Re: Seat Lock install!
I move the seat forward to clean under the seat, when stuff slides back under there, for access to my rear speakers, and when I let the GF drive around, she moves it forward because she's not as tall as I am. Just the usual stuff.
