isn't OEM the "inferior" fram unit? I thought every one was getting wix or pure1 filters for the s2k and avoiding the Fram/honeywell/OEM units ??

use a OEM filter and verify it is a PCX model. It should be unless you live in canada or UK

I think it is because some of the older Honda filters were being replaced by Fram made filters. But like you have said filtech had always made the S2000 filter.

Have you see OEM size compare to Fram? Stick with OEM on this one.

Filters made by Denso are as good as OEM. I've been using Denso filters for years & years, and never had a problem. DENSO Part # 1501006

Crap, what's the deal with FRAM because that's all I ever use. I guess this is what I get from a long hiatus from the boards.

95% of people use OEM, really can't go wrong with it.

I use Bosch though, since it's easier to get.

I got a Filtech made Bosch filter for free so that's what I'm using now.

Actually the s2000 OEM PCX filters were originally made in Japan by a company known as Toyo Roki. Currently they are produced by Filtech, an American company established by Toyo Roki in 1989.
