few thoughts
(1) you will spin (or come close if you are good with RWD) at least twice the first month.
(2) plastic cleaner fixes the clouding on the rear window. Took me years to figure that out. backing up in the rain at night was an act of faith.
(3) I used the original bridgestone s02 pole position tires for first 60K miles on my '01. (4 sets rear, 2 sets front). Twitchy, wonderful, terrible in rain. I switched to bridgestone re11 1K miles ago. The car lost the extreme sharp, sudden 'turn the wheel 1/8 inch, bam your head is pulled to side' handling, gained much higher limits. I miss the twitchyness of the s02s. See what tires are on your car. pick a set that works for you. It's stunning how much difference there is in feel.
(4) rear tire life on an '00 s2k driven mildly is AT MOST 15K miles. They wear from the INSIDE edge, so you can't see it's gone bald by just looking unless you get your head under the car. Watch for it. Rain and bald tires is really bad especially if you still have the s02s.

If you wanna make yourself internet famous.
1. buy ebay suspension.
2. buy 11-12 inch wide wheels with the worst possible offset. (no rotas)
3. Buy 215 tire.
4. Spend a few hours fitting everything on.
5. Photoshop the crap out of every photo taken.
6. Claim you built a car.

The S02s should have been good in the rain. They're bridgestones...and they're directional. Mine worked great in the rain.
Your tires last 15k MILES DRIVEN MILDY?!!!!! I am the biggest JACK *** and my tires last longer than/as long as that. I think I got like 15k miles plus like 4 or 5 track days out of my last set of direzza sports....and 2 10 second long burnouts. Now the tires are dead. I got like about that much out of the last set too.
