Thank you! I agree it sucks completely!! All you guys in the US don't know how lucky you are - come over to Europe for like a month and you will all realise just how cheap everything is in comparison!!
The Amuse hood would have been absolutely great and summed up the idea behind the project all on its own - to be different. Unfortunately even after all my efforts they were not having any of it and refused to give me it, or even make me a one off. Would have been great as it would not only have been something different but something no other s2k has - and another thing to add to the list for me

Will update everything as soon as I am given an update myself. LOL, I just realised. How often are you actually going to drive this on the streets? Seems like it's going to be a bit of a pain in the *** to merge onto the motorway sitting on the 'wrong' side of the car.

Actually. In the UK, (home of the English language), it is spelled 'realise' not 'realize'. It's like 'colour' and 'color'. Both are right in their own way. Considering this car will be going to Europe upon it's completion, this thread is more European than American, hence my typing/spelling of certain words in this thread.
Realise = correct.

Sick build, amazing.
My question is... You obviously have the financial ability to buy a superior car, E46 M3, S4, Supra, etc... Why the S2000?

anyone that mods there car can afford a higher priced car/"superior" car...
look at people that buy integras and civics... if they saved the money they "invested: into there cars, they could possibly buy a used S2000... same goes with any of us... i could have held off on buying mods for my car, saved up a lil more and could have had an NSX...
im guessing he likes hondas, likes the S2000 platform, and obviously likes the parts that are available to it...

Thank you
Why the s2000 .. the reasons listed by S2Killa: I have a sweet spot for Hondas, the s2k is a greacar to begin with, an excellent platform to tune and there is a large selection of parts for it.
Why not something like an E46 M3 .. once you buy the car it doesn't leave that much $$$ left for the mods. For me its not about the superiority of the car, its what you can turn the car into. Any car has the potential to be something, its just working out what its strengths and weaknesses are and improving it further. I have a love for cars and together with that comes the wish to be unique and express myself in my own way. I would rather take a car like the s2k as a platform, bump $$$ into it and end up with a car that represents who I am, a car that has required my time, effort and money to build. When I see it every morning it will literally lighten me up, something a car like an E46 M3 would not be capable of doing after 6 months. In the end its not about the money for me, as by modifying a car you are basically 'throwing money down the drain.' For me its about creating something and in the end being proud of my creation, as it is unique to me. On top of all of this I have plans to keep this car for a very very long time / forever. It will have a space in my garage until it is falling to pieces.
Not only the personal reason but there is something else to this project which will be revealed once the car is complete (dum dum dum ...)

Re: Re: (papa5murf)
LOL
The only reason I need the hardtop is for when I go to Spain - there is not much love between the Gibraltarians and the Spanish, most of you will probably not have any idea what I am going on about but just take my word for it, so slashed soft tops is relatively common.
Obviously that car will not be sleeping in any dodgy areas or anywhere where there is not a secure parking with a camera pointing right in its direction

Ahh, you've gotta take risks every now and then.
Spain just wants some extra land. It's like the whole China/Hong Kong thing. It belongs to us , give it back .

Yep exactly that .. you would think they had enough and 6km squared really would not mean that much to them!
It was actually really funny a while back when they were going on about how Gib should just be Spanish as it was easiest / rightfully Spanish etc and then a Moroccan farmer went by himself/herself with goats to La Isla Perejil, a small rocky islet with no human occupation 250m off the coast of Morocco and the Spanish sent a [freak]ing warship!!
Just goes to show how hypocritical they are, including the fact that they have Ceuta and Melilla also, and is exactly why we dont want to be spanish
Image of when the Spanish 'took it back' - small but it gets the point through
And so you get an idea of exactly how everything falls into place:

I have been involved in tuning in some way or another for many years now and whilst always dreaming about doing a complete car (interior, engine, exterior the whole lot) I have never had the funds to do it.
I guess its an element of the will to do it and the timing being just right. My exact inspiration - nothing and everything. As I said it is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I just took the plunge and did it Everything was pointing me in the direction of doing this now, and everything so far has seemed to work out well in one way or another. I have had to make sacrifices in order to carry out a project like this (all those large payments to Bulletproof etc all too regularly ) however to me all those sacrifices are only temporary (well a whole year actually) and will all be long forgotten once its complete + it will all have been more than worth it because not only is it something that has been in my dreams for a long long time, it also has an ulterior motive to it. Principally it is for my own personal pleasure but as will become apparent in the near future there is some very interesting reason for the creation of this baby
I love suspense .. don't you all

hehehe .. Ok we will give you a little bit of the credit
No seriously now everyone who has commented on both this forum and my thread on s2ki deserves credit because believe it or not on more than one occasion I have thought to myself 'you are absolutely crazy, why are you doing this?!' and its all the positive comments coming from everyone that settles the negative thoughts and puts me back into the right frame of mind.
On top of everyone you, and a select few other users deserve a lot of credit for thinking of ways in which I can improve the project and helping me out along the way.
Before doing this car I was new to forums, and now it makes me realise what an idiot I have been because within these forums there is much love and it is a great way to meet and share ideas with great people! to all
