Re: MOBIL1 5W50 SUPER RALLY FORMULA (Sean Juan)
If you go buy the book I believe it is 10w-30 that is recommended for year round use. If you live in colder climates then 5w-40 is acceptable. I am pretty certain of those, but someone can correct me if i am wrong.
I am currently testing some 5w-20 in my 04 S2k right now. Everyone told me not to but no one could give a good reason. So, I have 1,000 miles on it now and after a thousand more I am going to send a sample away for a UOA. So far it's been great. No oil loss (and I've never had any to begin with) and the oil is a nice Carmel color right now.
If you are unsure, I'd say stick with 10w-30 or 10w-40.

X3 on the Royal Purple.
Used it on both of my S's with no problems. No oil consumption, no taps. Even tried the 5w30 with the same result.
People swear by Mobil1. I personally have nothing against it, since they sponsor Honda Racing, but saying that Mobil1 is best is like saying Mugen is best: opinionated.

no. Use 10w30 for most conditions. The 50w is too much.
