The death of the Honda S2000 is quite sad but predicted nonetheless. The S2000 seemed a little under par for a race-inspired sports car. It had the reliability and well-thought-out qualities that Honda cars are notorious for, but it lacked that eye-catching quality needed to make it a gem. The 9000-rpm redline that made it fun and addicting to drive was eventually replaced with a less exciting but still respectable lower-revving engine. A face lift and more ponies would have helped it keep up with the competition. It's sad to see the last Honda sports car die a slow and painful death. The NSX, RSX and now the S2000-I feel like a part of my love for Honda has died.
