Help a fella decide what year S2000 he wants!
hey current S2K owners help me out please, i know the differences between years, but im curious on a few things.
2000 has no clock and 01+ has a clock. can someone post some pics of the spot where the clock is and isnt and what it looks like with or without a clock.
also the "leather center console" can i get some pics of the ones with the leather console and ones without.
thanks in advance to anyone who can help me, since im nto sure which years to be going after. ( im on a budget too so obviously 2000 model year is the most affordable.. but seems the worst lol )

If you are stuck on an AP1 (which you shouldn't be!) get an 02 or 03. You don't want a plastic back window. And if you want to make the right choice get an AP2

id get 04 or 05.......reason being
-more torque from engine
-bumper is more aggressive
-ap2 years that use throttle cable
-like the cluster more

00-01 have NO clock.
02-05 have a clock in the radio.
06+ have a clock along with temperature in the gauge cluster.
I could be wrong, and all AP2's 04+ could have clocks in the cluster...
I am however sure about 06+ and the temp gauge.

true that - but would it influence your buying decision at all?

the clock believe it or not is a big influence in my buying decision since i know if i wait i can get one with a clock for my price range. I cant afford an AP2... so comments regarding such dont belong in this thread ;-) lol. it seems 00 is the year to stay away from though as far as i gather.... everyone seems to dislike their MY2000's

AP1 FTW. Who gives a **** about a clock (buy a watch). Yes the AP2 has more torque blah blah blah, but who wants Drive by Wire. If you want to feel in control, get an AP1. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the 9K redline vs the 8K. I've driven my buddy's CR and it just don't feel as one with the car as I do in an AP1. Still an awesome car, so don't get me wrong. So if you really want an car to feel one with, get an AP1, if not get an AP2. Either way, at least your buying an S2000 not an RX8.
